Well I'm in need of a new PS3 game and I've been in the mood for a fighting game (even though I don't play them much). I used to play Naruto on my friends Gamecube all the time and I briefly played NUNS (played demo + bit at my friends), and I recently played SF IV at my friends house. I did kind of think that SF IV's combat was a little slower paced/clunkier (could be the side scrolling view) than Naruto's and the combo's are a pain in the ass to master so right now I'm leaning towards NUNS (since I know it better too), I just kind of wanted to see what everyone else had to say.

Well, if you want more of an actual story mode than Naruto is the choice. If you only care about the fights then go for SFIV. Naruto has some cool moves to pull off, but SF is SF. Online is also a factor. Naruto has none.

HAHAHAHAHA LOL, NUNS is a POS. I was so hype for that game and it turn out to be crap. I'm a HUGE, and I mean HUUGGEE Naruto fan, but NUNS sucked hard, almost as hard as Broken Bond. Ultimate Ninja 3 was better and Ultimate Ninja 5 is way better.

I will say NUNS because of simplicity.

You'd have to be pretty demented to like Naruto/DB games.

So Naruto is the new DragonBall for the 90s generation?

Seriously, Naruto versus Street Fighter IV? That's like a Final Fantasy VII fan choosing Dirge of Cerberus, Final Fantasy VII over SOCOM on the PS2. I guess if you really like something it doesn't matter(including Naruto). xD

Remember when Dragonball GT: Final Bout came out on the PSOne? The game sucked, but everyone wanted it.

Edit: I'm not trying to single out the 90s generation. I'm pretty sure that there are grown men who like Naruto, since there were grown men who liked DBZ.

these are two very differnt fighting games...

naruto is a game for casual players. no combos, simple controls, etc

SFIV is a game with professional tournaments.

that said, what kind of game are you looking for? are you a casual player? if so, sfiv might not be the best choice... it has so much depth and techniques to master, it can be more fustrating then fun.

are you thinking about online play? naruto doesnt have any. but unless you are familiar with other street fighter games and intend to put a lot of time into learning combos and moves, sfiv's online will be, again, more frustrating then fun.

my personal choice is sfiv.. if for nothing but it has online play. fighting games can be great, but what makes them have longevity is the different players you can face... if naruto had multiplayer i think it wouldve sold much better then it did.

I have been a Street Fighter series fan for quite some time so, I'm going to have to go with Street Fighter IV (PS3). I am not a HUGE Naruto fan but, I did play the demo of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and I have to say I was impressed especially with the graphics. It's a gorgeous game!:o

Wow I feel the exact same way. I bought the Collector's Edition was hyped to play (was more hyped to play that than Resistance 2/LBP). The game turned out to be...not that great. I wanted to go and fight not run through trees or climb walls... Overall dissapoint, ended up selling the game back to EB for $35, lost $55 on it.

NUNS has graphics so close to the anime, you can just barley tell them apart. The cast that does the voice-overs are the exact same from the english dubbed version. The controls are easy to get the hang of and the story is spot on. So it looks like the anime, sounds like the anime, and you can play through the anime. Doesn't sound like you even know what Naruto is if you think NUNS is crap. Unless you can build up chakra in real life, NUNS is as close as you are gonna get to living the anime.
