Hi guys I just found a cure for stuck or bright pixels.....first turn on your psp then at the start it will have this black screen right?just remember where the dead pixels are and then turn it off while it's turned off grab a cloth and massage it heavily take note to put force and then rub it in a circular pattern but not so hard that you might damage the lcd then w8 after like an hour then do it again this time with more force do this in like three stages with different forces(force gettinhg stronger each time)then after the last time you do this thing...you wait for about 5-10mins or if you whenever you feel that the lcd's pixels aren't stuck anymore then while turning on the screen push down the part of the lcd that has the stuck pixel it should be fixed by now...I tried this on my own psp and my gaming friends and never failed me yet....try it out and tell me if it works okay?!?

I guess stuck pixels are just a sign of stress then that can be relieved by a little massage, I knew it's a womans device!

I don't have a psp yet, getting one in 2 weeks or so, was just curious about the cure, sounds like the wrap-a-bricked-360-in-a-towel kind of thing. But hey if it works..

BTW I meant the PSP itself to be female.

this was some bad advice.. First off the dead pixel is on the LCD screen itself.. Rubbing on the outter face plate will do nothing.. wtf..

Unless you take the time to break the warranty seal and take the face plate off, don't even bother.

You have to put pressure on it and then it will work. He doesn't mean just rubbing it lightly lol. If you go to your psp and put enough pressure on the faceplate, you will see it will begin to have that funky rainbowish look like when you press down on an LCD screen. That's probably what he means by pressure.

I geuss you haven't taken the time to thoroughly touch your psp. If you apply enough pressure to the other face plate, it will touch the pixels. It gives that rippleish affect just like any other screen.

Dead pixels cannot be fixed.
Stuck pixels *may* unstick themselves, but this is rare.

If applying pressure to the screen "fixes" the pixel you should be aware that this is indicative of faulty manufacturing in the screen, and may indicate future pixels will fail on that particular screen in the future. It's unfortunatly only a temporary fix - dead / stuck pixels are something you should test a PSP for when you buy it - even 1 is reason for a return, as no amount of rubbing or "pixel fixer" utilities correct the manufacturing fault on your screen.
