10 hours sounds great, I play slowly so that will mean minimum 10 hours for meDangerHiVoltageTrust me GoW will be around 15. Stig or the Game Director I forget his name, said GoW3 will be longer than GoW & shorter than 2 so i'm betting on around 15 hours which is awesome is true.
People seem to forget that play time is different for everyone. I remember Dark Cloud 2 boasted something like 80 hours of play...I did it in like 45, with everything seen and done. Dragon Age: Origins has been said to have 60 - 80 hours of content, without any DLC. I just beat it for the first time on normal, did almost all of the side quests, at 44 hours. I also initiated as much conversation as possible, and never skipped a scene or dialogue.
Basically, it's different for everyone. And never, ever believe what a developer says, or what's printed on the box concerning how long the game is in hours. It's almost always false, even by the "different for everyone" standard.
Sounds alright, quality over quantity imo if its good enough youll want to play through it again! Like Uncharted, i must have completed that 5 times!
1 player games arent worth over $30 with the exception of the following games 1. GTA series- 4 sucked but i would of bought it during its launched period if i had PS3 then 2. MGS1- Top to Bottom this game blew me away and i hated these type of games back in the day. My 1st play through i beat it leaving with Octocon. then i was told you could of save Meryl and which i did.PSP107
Though there's a couple of things just plain wrong about that, I agree that single player games are going to need an oomph these days, since online availabiltiy is so easy. Though God of War 3 has an enormous fan base as well as a huge amount of hype surrounding it. It won't hurt for sales, that's for sure.

It all comes down to preference. I don't like online MP very much. I'd much rather have an awesome single player game, and I happily pay good money for them. thats all fine and dandy and this goes for u aswell Khadaj32, but i find it funny that people on my friend's List buy a 1 player game and 2 days later they dont play it no more. A waste of $60 in my opinion

Whether it's a waste or not depends on how much money you have and how long you spend gaming each day. $60 isn't a huge amount of money to me. Plus, it usually takes me a lot longer than two days to beat a game. I've owned Bayonetta since launch and I'm only half way through it. I suppose you would get through games pretty fast if you spent 10 hours a day playing them.

It really depends on how fast a person plays. 10 hours of GoW 3 is good for me. I'm the type of person who takes their time and admire the game itself, instead of just rushing through it.
Whale_
pretty much what I was going to say
15-20 hours depending on diffculty
Anyone complaining about length or a "button bashing" needs to play it on Hard. Then Titan mode the second time around. That's easily 25+ hours there.

couldnt agree more. and besides, gameplay times are not exact. everyone goes through the game at a different pace. some are speed freaks and like to blaze through levels focussing only on the goals at hand or others (like myself)are exploring every nook of this new world im running a muck in and enjoy the subtle nuances and details that the developers want us to take the time and appreciate what they made.
