First of all, let me explain what I mean by the topic - For example, when you're playing MW2, your friends will see you as "Modern Warfare 2 Playing Free For All in Afghan" and when you're playing Brink, your friends will see you as "Brink Rescuing a hostage from Resistance" and things like that.

I think it's ridiculous and it doesn't look any good. It should say "Brink" and "Modern Warfare 2"... looks better. I really don't know why developers want to add extra description to show what the player is doing. They're probably stupid.

Well, I liked the way Xbox did it. Which is kinda the way PSN did it but they aren't as "clean"(?) about it.

I agree I just liked "Brink" and "COD" I don't care what they are doing on the game I just wanna know what they are playing :P

While it doesn't look great, just odd, it is helpful if you just went on, and you see a friend playing the same game you will, but you see he is playing a match so you don't invite him and begin to annoy him, and you know when he is done. You don't know how many times on Uncharted 2 people kept messageing me while I was playing a match, it was annoying

I'd like it to state the game and then whether the friend is online or offline within it. So, "Brink - Online" or "MW2 - Offline", etc. :)

Because when you read that you're supposed to think "I want to rescue a hostage from the Resistance" and then buy the game. Personally, I don't care what it says because I have that screen up for probably a minute at most.

It doesn't look odd to me, and I think it's a great idea. It's definitely more useful/practical, b/c you don't want to send an invite to a friend for online multiplayer while he/she is in the middle of his/her single player experience! It's that simple, and more games should do that. There's a reason why big name videogame devs like Treyarch and Infiinityward and Naughty Dog do it...

I'd like an option for this, can't be that hard surely to either display the game name or tha game plus description.
