Seriosly? Why don't you do little research yourself? try wikipedia, it could explain it much better than anyone here, probably.

What the hell language did you just type that in?

480i/576i are standard definition TV (NTSC/PAL)

720p, 1080i, and 1080p are high definition TV resolutions
720p=1280x720p
1080i/p are 1920x1080 - i = interlaced / p = progressive

As for the best TV for you... quick question how much money are you willing to spend on a TV?

lets make it easy for you.

you have

SDTV NTSC ( Standard Definition TV ) - 480i
EDTV NTSC( E??? D???? TV ) - 480p
SDTV PAL (Standard Definiton TV) - 576i
HDTV - 720p
HDTV - 1080i
(full )HDTV - 1080p

The number stands for the resolution. The resolution is the number of lines accoss for TV which make the picture.
The i stands for 'interlaced' and basically means half the lines refresh , then the other half refresh.
The p stand for ' progessive' and it means ALL lines refresh at the same time.

For more information i reccomend you go to Wikipedia or do a goodle search.
