super slim loose ac block

anyone else got a super slim noticed that the ac port on the back is ridiculasly loose? lol seems like there is far too much play!

Yes the PS3 Superslim does seem most fragile. I bought one The Ac port is loose. This version just seems very cheaply made. I bought the PS3 250GB uncharted GOTY & Dust 514 bundle. Jan 8th 2013 and this console actually died on me. 20 days later. I was able to exchange it for another one. No difficulties since it was bought brand new and not even 30 days old. This is the first time a Sony Console has died on me. I bought a PS3 phat 40GB brand new and a PS3 Slim 120GB and a PS3 320GB brand new. I have also a 2007 PS3 60GB Which I bought used. The 40GB was sold when I bought this. The 120 GB was sold when I bought the 320GB

3 PS3 consoles bought brand new. Worked flawless. The new vesion PS3 Superslim Died on me after just 20 days. This I just chalked up to bad luck. The console was replaced without any issue.

But The store clerk did mention that there have been some issues with the new Superslim PS3 consoles. I didn't ask.

This version of the PS3 does seem cheaply constructed. The AC port is loose compared to all other PS3 versions Phat and Regular Slim. In addition the the top loading slider door.

Even the PS2 and PS1 consoles don't have a loose AC port. Not to much of a big deal. But My PS3 SuperSlim did die on me. First time I that a console which I bought brand new has died on me.

Is the super slim as bad I think it is? It does look cheap compared to the slim, hate the manual sliding tray cover & the lines and it is actually little louder than the slim. Now I hear that it has a loose ac block. I am even considering to purchase the regular slim 320 gb bundle with UC3 (which I have the game already) and pay little more over the super slim bundles.... Amazon is selling the 320gb slim UC3 bundle for $299.99... Too much right now though. Waiting for a price drop. Sony should bring back the slim as an option.

I heard in a few reviews where it was reported that the super slim was louder than slim as you could hear the spinning disc more. Here is a comparison video... The fat ps3 is just ridiculous with how loud it is. My fat ps2 is quieter than the fat ps2. The slim easily wins in this comparison video.

WTF do you talking about ?? I have playin game with br disc and simply quited and opened cover and disc just stopped in half sec. and for noise - ITS REALLY normal that it would be little louder, there is just some plastic covering disc hole nothing more!!! It isint as loud as old fat ps3 [believe me - sslim is salvation to me after 5year-fat ps3 which was on last fan gear in xmb]. Whats really annoying - ac block is loose. Dont give me wrong - if you really dont move it - its not a problem , and i will not send back new console. it has warranty damn. you people sometimes are - IT MUST BE CHEAPEST THING IN A WORLD and MADE WITH SUPER STRONG TITAN SUPER QUIET PARTS. snap out of it - you wanna cheap ps3? here it is and deal with it!

I heard about that. I am not impressed with the super slim. It looks and feels too cheap to me. I think Sony could have done better.

maybe some heat/fire resistant glue would help :D

you can tell its cheaply made by the look of it. Not to mention the Gamespot trailer when they revealed it up front. The slider sounded awful and looked like it could easily break. It looks awful, feels awful and is awful. Your better off cooking a BBQ on it than playing gamesMickeyminime
