Has the ps3 adressed this issue yet? Right now this is the major factor detering me from the ps3. My hdtv works geat w/ my 360, but I refuse to get a ps3 until is supports my tv.

ummm... really whatkinda tv do you have? like guyhunter said its probably SD not HD. What's the resolution that it doesn't support? Doesn't an hdtv have todo atleast720 to be considered HD?
only certain games would work..namely the ones that can be output in 1080i
i know for sure rsistence is 720p only making it unplayable at that res on your old crt hdtv..i think its time you bought a new tv mate,you can find a good one now for not much cash.
p.s. i heard they fixed this and im guessing its something to do with the scaler but i dont know for sure.

It has to be 720p to be part of the HD ready standard.. but some old Tv's did have 1080i only support which still makes it HD be it limited when it comes to games that only support 720p without knowing the make and model of his TV it would hard to say for sure what resolutions he would be able to use.
no not yet....1080i only people are still stuck playing PS3 games (that don't support 1080i...like Resistance) in SD...hopefully sony fixes this...please fix it sony :)
