Hi all
I'm looking for some surround sound headphones for the PS3. You can get turtlebeach ones for the 360 but they dont make them for PS3 (idiots!)
Does anyone have a decent set or can recomend one? Has to be SS and not stereo though.

I have these:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Tritton+Technologies+-+Stereo+Gaming+Headset+for+Xbox+360%2C+PS3%2C+Wii+and+Mac/Windows/9466133.p?id=1218109499568&skuId=9466133&st=tritton&cp=1&lp=6
I know they're not surround, but they are better than my Turtle Beach for 360 that costed twice as much.
I use tritton ax pro gaming headsets and love them. They have 4 speakers in each side and you can adjust each one separately until you get that perfect setting. The bass is also great for a headset and they are big enough to not start hurting your ears after long hours of gaming. The are usually around $170 but well worth it to me. Only downside is that this particular headset uses 2 power outlets which can suck if you don't have enough to use.river_rat3117
I have these as well. I enjoy them, but the wires can get constricting. If I could do it again, I would get the Turtle Beach Ear Force PX5's.

Go ONLY with these
Tritton AX720: $130
Tritton AXPro: $170 (varies)
Astro A40: $200
Turtle Beach PX5: $250 (the best ones so far)

Just got astro A30 sound system and really happy with it. A30 system on sale on(headset and mix amp) on Astro's website(Mix Amp critical to take advantage of best surround.) Was using px 21 with earforce DSS also worked well. My understanding is that even using optical connection PS3 only supports up to 5.1 so even though headphones support 7.1 the PS3 doesn't get full use from them. Any self proclaimed experts..... am I wrong about the 5.1 thing?
I actually just splurged and picked up a set of PX5's today from Best Buy. I'm very impressed with sound quality and comfort. Wireless makes me feel less conscious that I'm wearing a headset, so that's a huge plus.
Another thing that isn't as heavilly advertised is its ability to simultaneously sync with a bluetooth music player, effectively letting you build custom soundtracks for games (a major critique of the PS3).
Bottom line: if you have the cash, I definitely recommend the PX5's.
