Kind of nervous about taking it. I think I'll put it in its own bag full of pillows. Does anyone have any tips of how I should take it to make sure nothing happens?

you can probably buy those bubble wraps and cover it. though i dont remember where to get them from.MeowmixxviYou can get the bubble wrap from any UPS store, However when I take mine I always put it in the PS3 Official Carrying bag and then I place it on my carry on bag. They can throw my clothes but NOT MY PS3... I have had no issues and I own the Fat Boy 60 gig. Hope this help!
Okay, I cant get an official carryign bag or bubble wrap by tomorrow, so Im going to have to settle for the bag of pillows, and then keep it with me on the flight.
My father has had multiple valuable things stolen from him while flying. Ever since then, I put all of my vlauable electronics in my carryon. The hassle of carrying it through the plane and putting it above/below is much less than the hassle of being a new ps3 altogether.
Dont wrap it in anything. When i flew out of o' hare the tsa lady took it to a seperate scanning device away from the normal one.
They are signs in most major stating specifically removal of game consoles
Laptops, Full-size Video Game Consoles and Other Large Electronics
Effective August 4, 2007, laptop computers, full-size video game consoles (for example Playstation®, X-box®, or Nintendo®), full-size DVD players, and video cameras that use video cassettes must be removed from their carrying cases and submitted separately for x-ray screening. Laptop computers and video cameras that use cassettes have long been subject to this policy.
What Needs to be Screened Separately
Small and portable electronic items do not need to be removed from their carrying cases.
get one of those carrying bags where u put ur entire ps3 and accessories in there and carry it on the plane with u and put it over ur head or under ur feet. thats the best way. when i went to vegas to visit my mom i did the same thing. and it was fine.JoKeR_421This.....point blank the best thing you can do. That way you know where it is at ALL TIMES b/c it's w/ you on the plane and you can get keep an eye on it.
LOL, you don't have to get all elaborate w/ it. If you got simple old bookbag or even an average sized messanger bag, will do just fine. But please, don't settle for the 'bag of pillows'.....that's kinda ghetto. :lol:Haseokicksass

Post it to the address your going to,it will be insured that way and taken good care of and could even be waiting for your arrival all plugged in n ready to play/ just a thought, but it would cost ya some moulah(cash)
Stick it up your butt. No one will ever look there.

Don't believe it bud,I got strip searched and they found a PlayStation,Sega Saturn, snes and 200 games up my butt when the dogs sniffed my ring,I was farting pure silicon man no wonder.
I remember bringing my PS2 with me on a trip to Japan. I simply put in the suitcase sandwiched between clothes and checked it in. It was fine on the trip and back. It's still fine up to now. Then again, the PS2 is built like a tank. Not sure about my fat PS3 though. I'd probably keep it in my backpack as a carry-on.
