You know I see over and over again people griping about system failures. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I think a general forum is a good place for complaints about the hardware. My problem is that going through the topics, some people have started up a few software related threads that were actually pretty interesting (for example a guy asking for an appropriate game for handicapped gamers). That is when I noticed that some toolbox (Yagr?) seems to just get his rocks off by locking the threads. Don't get me wrong, there are definately appropriate times to shut down an abusive thread, but when someone has a legit question maybe you should let it slide a bit. I'm real proud that this guy climbed through the ranks of the interwebs so that he can wield the might IP Ban Hammer, but is that really the best use of your time man?... anyway I hardly every post, I was just needed to vent a bit.

lol. I get annoyed when someone closes my thread, especially when I need serious help with something.

Well congrats on making the next topic to be locked...... Although I have seen some topics locked that shouldnt be, Asking if they have better use of their time? THEY ARE MODS, thats what they do, lock the unneccesary so the forums dont get loaded up with a bunch of crap...... Such as this thread.

Ironically, this thread will probably get locked. Also, there is a STICKY thread called the "Game Recommendation" thread where he could have asked the question. Instead, he created another thread that asked the same thing basically, and wasted space in the forums.

I have always thought the mods take themselves wayy to seriously. I hate finding an interesting thread and it is locked.

when asking what game to get,, there is an sticky - official recommendation thread, which is suppose to be used.. the mods are trying to cut down on useless threads when there is a thread dedicated to what you're asking..

be that as it may, i think the stickies are bad because if you don't check them often you would have to go through hundreds of posts to find your answer.. unless you just quickly post whereas if your question has already been answered people will post that you should read before posting..

they aren't taking it to seriously they're just following the rules..

yeah there is a sticky for game recommendations...the only problem is there is like 5 million pages to filter through.

The amount of topics that get locked on here isssssssssss a little extreme. Never been on a forum like it. The OP is not just blowing smoke...

I think the stickies are kind of a pain in the butt myself. They should really just open a game reccommendation forum or something. It just doesn't work in the stickies. But rules are rules.
