Tales Of The Bargain Bin.

Like the topic title implies, name the cheapest game you've bought that has also been surprisingly fun. Not one that you've already played and are familiar with but decided to wait for it to be cheap to get it. It's gotta be one you hadn't tried before and out of nowhere bought it because it was pretty cheap. Since I made the topic I get to go first:P . In my case I'd have to go with The Saboteur, I got it a few days ago for $18 and although I had seen some videos of it, I had never played it before and now that I own it I must say it's better than what I was expecting (I was expecting something equal to or slightly less engaging than Mercenaries 2). I would also say X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but it wouldn't count becauseI had tried the demo before I bought it for $20. Now let me know yours.

how cheap is the bargain bin or would you say the general price for bargin bin next gin games is?

NCAA Football 09 was pretty enjoyable for $3.

Never spent less than 20 bucks on any one PS3 game. Though, I did buy The Bard's Tale on the PS2 for $0.60 awhile back. Nifty little game.

I'm a bargain hunter -- I rarely spend more than $20 on a game (and yet own 50 some PS3 games). In fact most of my games cost 3.33! (Buy 3 PS2 Games for $10), but the best deal I feel that I've ever got for a PS3 game ... hmm ... back in October I bought Tom Clancy's End War for 1.99. I used the bluetooth from my phone and used it -- not a bad game, and really enjoyed it ... it was a $2!

Afro Samurai for 5 bucks. Honestly the game would have been really good if it hadnt been so unpolished.

Bloody and fun combat, tight soundtrack and an interesting story but the game is just chock full of bugs.

Mirror's Edge brand new for $15. Fun game but a bit frustrating at times. I actually still need to finish it :PTexas2089

i got the saboteur for 15 bucks from a guy on Craigslist. I can't believe how fun that game actually is. I can't wait to play it some more. TheEldestGod

I got pissed in the demo. But I think the mistake was on my end. I was doing it wrong. I was saying everything as a seperate word. But the units actually understand you when you connect words in a sentence and not talk like Willam Shatner.

Unit. One. Secure. Zulu.

When you just say it like you're talking to someone. "Unit one secure Zulu"

The only downfall I find was just this one mission that you cannot win no way, no how for some odd reason. The units never stop (and regenerate health), you barely get anything and cannot gain enough credits to actually form a defense or enough to take over control points. It's the first mission you get the WMD option and even that didn't work. Because guess what? There are another 30 tanks, choppers and troopers right behind the assault you just destroyed with your 2 tanks, one engineer group and rifleman squad and your transport.:evil::evil:

I got Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for $20 brand new. It was very fun, besides the final showdown. That part was frustrating. And unrelated to the PS3, I bought Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (pc) for $3.99 w/ free shipping on newegg. One of the best deals, period.

God, too many to sit here and list. I am an avid hunter for gems on the cheap. Most recently I picked up Way of the Samurai 3 for $22.00 brand new. Excellent game.

I got Borderlands and Prototype today for 37 $

My best was a 360 game, a brand new copy of Too Human for 96 cents.

-SOCOM: combined assault (PS2) for $4.99 from target.
-Quantum of Solace (PS3) 9.99 from newegg.
-Bionic Commando (PS3) 9.99 from newegg.
-Mirror's Edge (PS3) 9.99 from newegg

Can't really remember anything else from the PS2 days besides that SOCOM deal. Although late in the PS2's life I bought many games off ebay for under $5 including shipping, even bought a few deals in bulk where the games ended up only a couple dollars each that I played then sold for more than I paid. Most were used but in "like new" condition

Forget all those though. just today the ultimate bargain bin price.

Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds (PS3) $2.97 at Sears. I'm going to have to check out some more Sears around here and see what else they've got. I was kicking myself after leaving with the golf game in hand not to have the guy price check the whole bargain bin. :D

My other favorite purchase is probably Metroid Prime Trilogy for practically free (it was really $19.99, but I used my rewardzone points at best buy and a 10% coupon and ended up owing only pennies). Although that really shouldn't count for this topic. For this discussion you really should not be counting "trade ins" or reward card type deals as being a true bargain bin find. Bargain bin means straight up the game's price scans as a bargain bin price or you order it online from bargan bin.

$60 for Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune sounds like a pretty good deal to me :D

I bought Dark Sector for £15 and totally enjoyed it :)
