I really enjoy the Tales games but this one throws me a little. A game where all the past Tales people are in it??? how is that possible. Is anyone else getting this game?

they are in it by small cameos from what i understand so dont get your hopes up, as for the game itself it ranges from fair to good depending on the magazines and websites that review it can´t tell you anything more than that because i dont have the game either

Most sites rate this game good/so-so, but most players seem to rate it as very good...especially people who have played other Tales games. My friend has it so I got to try it out a little, and although I couldn't get into it, I can still realize that it is a pretty good game from what I've seen. Check out some videos, images, and reviews though to help you.

The game's not so bad---if you already enjoy the Tales series. Otherwise, this game gets very repetitive. Also, the dungeons and floors are so bland and looks the same that it turns monotonous after a while.

i have the game. and although i haven't played the other tales games, i still find this game to be good.

so far, i think it has been worth it. that's why i don't understand as to why it's getting bad reviews.

i guess this game is one of those games that although they're good, they still get bad reviews

like monster hunter, great game, bad reviews

I think it's a decent game. The characters make cameos, but you can recruit a lot to join your party when you go out on missions, but then they disband once the mission is complete. I tend to agree with Gamespot about the missions being on the boring side, especially the ones where you have to gather food or materials. They become tedious after awhile. Also, the battle system is solid, but you can win a fight by just mashing one button. The different moves are still cool when executed though. All in all, I would give it a 7/10. I don't know if that's worth 40 bucks, but it's certainly not a bad game. It's a solid rpg, and you can probably get 40 hours out of it which is my estimate.

The only good thing in the game is the fighting with the old chars. nothing else, the story is short and most of the time you do pointless quests.

Has it been reviewed here yet I don't know but IGN gave it a 7.5 which isn't great but not all that bad either. Too bad about the 40 buck thing because probably in 6 months it'll be 19.99.

Yeah imo its worth it. I really enjoy the gameplay, its really addicting. Theres alot of weapons for the different classes in this game. The crafting system is fun to mess around with. The story is average, not great so far, but it keeps you interested. Yeah, lol i saw Reid from Tales of Eternia, he acts the exact same as he did then. Overall, especially if youra fan of the Tales seres, i recommend this game.

Never will this game matcht he story with any other Tales game... man you are cracked :P thinking that.

Truth is, this will only be awesome to Really Big Tales fans who have played them all, if they think talking and fighting with the other chars. makes a $40 game worth it, then I guess it's worth for them. For an RPG, it's definately low, really hit my Tales spirit when I continued playing repetitive quests.
