Team fortress 2? any love?

i have my heart set on getting orange box, and its mostly for TF2. iv played portal and finished it at a friends house, i have an eerie feeling i wont like half-life (dont bother, not for this thread).

is TF2 any good? iv played the first and liked it, the only thing i didn't like were grenades (i couldn't be bother mastering them), and after hearing they have been removed i got pretty excited about the game, but now im worried, im totally addicted to rainbow 6 and tf2 is going to have to be dam good to take me away, r:fom and warhawk have already failed. i haven't really heard any body even mention the game so im worried its going to be dead

- is there a server list, or do i just get put in random games

-hows the headset usage, because warhawk seemed practically dead.

i want to play half-life 2 and portal (again lol) anyway, but R&C is also looking dam nice.

I like it a lot. Tight, fast-paced gameplay, well-balanced yet diverse classes and good but few maps. Most people have set to either play 2Forts (CTF) or Dustbowl (Assault) though.

You can either play a quick match, which will automatically put you in a ranked game or you can search for a custom game and assign filters (ranked/unranked, map, number of rounds, etc) and if you can't find a game you like, you can create your own.

Not too many headsets in use.

It is amazing. To answer your questions TF2 does use a server list w/ranked and unranked servers. Sadly the headset usage is dead no one talks atleast on the PS3 version...

TF2 is a great game i spend hours on it without even realising it and every level is fun. Especially 2 fort

As for HL the game is also great if you like shooter/adventure games. HL2 ep 2 is probably my favorite game. The only competition is CoD4 and Portal.

I rented the orange box and also R&C, but yes they are different and I would recommend you buying the orange box.

Yes, there is a server list with players in it, ping,level etc.

You can use a mic, but nobody uses them, so it's almost like warhawk. The community isn't big as warhawk/resistance but it's fine, there are plenty of active rooms to join

Overall, I thought TF2 was good, there is alot to do with different characters. I thought it was alotta fun

but i almost already know its gonna get played for about 4 hours and rainbow 6 will be back.

why cant people use headsets more, its the main reason rainbow is more fun.
