It sold pretty well I think, and got good reviews. It's not as popular as Street Fighter or Mortal kombat though... I think many Tekken fans were disappointed with it. I like the game, but I'm not very good at it lol.
i luv it, can't get enough of it.. my mk9 is collecting dust i play it so much, awesome graphics, cool music, brutal sound effects, best tekken ever made imo.. plus its got great sp options, something most fighters lack.. ghost mode alone is worth getting this game for.
Yeah, I agree that it's good. I think one reason a lot of people dislike it is the juggling and how easy it is to lose... That doesn't bother me since I don't play multiplayer much, but yeah. That might be one reason it isn't as popular...
while i'm not a big fan of juggling systems on fighting games, imo it makes fighting games look unrealistic... its easy to look past on tekken 6, cause its so fun to play, plus i play the computer more than anything, and the AI rarely juggles u, unless u got it on like the hardest difficulty.
yea the loading times definately take some getting used to but i've seen much worse.. the stupid 3rd person adventure could've also been left out but no big... btw i like your quote of John 3:16, nice to see i'm not the only follower of Christ on this site. ;)
Yeah sort of. It was hard to pimp it because it was more Tekken, and while I love that, it didn't really do much to push boundaries like SF4 and MK. Besides the load times and online lag weren't so good, along with abysmal Tekken Force mode. So bad.
Tekken 6 got an 8.5 and I think that is about right. I thought Tekken 5 was better and that got a 9.2. In my opinion, I thought Tekken 5 was the best PS2 game of all time.

Best PS2 game overallis questionable, butI won't disagree that T5 isthe best fighter on the old black box. Yeah, even better than the original Tekken Tag Tourney.
yea tekken 5 was pretty sweet, i've played that game on my ps2 so much over the years i'm surprised it still works.. lol btw this is sorta off original topic but does anyone know why the never brought Jun Kazama back to the roster? she was so freakin awesome..

According to the Tekken timeline, Jun is presumed to have died during Tekken 3.
The only reason she is returning in TTT2 is because that game is non-canon.
not really SF may be the worlds most popular fighter but tekken is firmly in 2nd place and is actually bigger in japan then SF is which is a big deal. They are both wildly popular around the world though. On topic i wouldn't say Tekken 6 is underrated at all. When the game launched on consoles it had issues with the online which took quite a long time to get patched and the story mode for tekken 6 is god awful. The actual fighting was a as great as ever though and people played tekken 6 for a long time. The game got the scores and attention it deserved imo. Its all about that TTT2 now though.
Well,kinda I think that last-gen Tekken and fighting games in general where the meat and potato's of the gaming community. This-gen shooters have taken over that top spot, So a solid tittle like Tekken 6 gets pushed to the way-side.:)
