The storyline for Tekken 6 has yet to be officially translated. According to fan-based translations, however, which have now been proven to be true by several gameplay videos, Jin Kazama has been revealed as the winner of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, and has begun using the Mishima Zaibatsu for world conquest, declaring war on several nations and even space colonies until the entire world is at war. For the first time in the series, Soulcalibur IV will have the option to fight against other players online. Confirmed versus-modes available in online battles are Standard VS (for classic matches) and Special VS (for customized characters). [22] Director Katsutoshi Sasaki has mentioned that created characters will be playable in the online multiplayer mode.

Personally, I'm looking forward more to Tekken 6 than I am to Soulcalibur IV. I've always preferred Tekken, but I'll check SCIV out, too.

i stopped getting into tekken games after tekken: tag tournament....after this i kind of shifted to the Soul Calibur series, so as of now more excited about Soul Calibur IV...but that could easily change

I like em both. More so a Tekken I played that during PS1 and PS2 a lot more. I played SC like a couple of times at a friends. Although SC4 looks sick especially with the vader and the apprentice.

that was a real tough decision for me because i am a long time player of both series. i have to say tekken 6. but it could easily be a tie for me

OOoooo 50/50.
I preffer Soul Calibur's gameplay to tekken, there's more variation to it, plus it has ring outs :P
Not to mention the graphics kick arse.

A lot of the characters from what I played in tekken 6 have changed there look some look real bad ass now. and that final boss was damn hard to beat!!!!!

If sould calibur had at least a decent story then I could like it a little more but for me it is Tekken all the way... but I did like sould calibur 2 and 1 for dreamcast

I hated the fighting in teken. It seems like every slight punch of kick will send your character plummeting to the ground.

I have lost all interest in SC4, the game has become a showcase for the bonus characters namely star wars plus the creator said it will be easy and button mash friendly. Tekken 6 on the other hand is my most anticipated Fighting game along with Street Fighter 4. I love Tekken ever since I played Tekken 3, and can't wait to get my hand on it and kick everyones @ss online :P

I started playing Tekken with T3 on the PSX. But then, I found SC 2 and never returned. I just like SC more than Tekken, and the ability to create your own character (though its quite new since its from 3) just seals the deal

Tekken 6 because ive played 1 to 5. I played soul caliber against my friends and i lost everytime so i threw the controller and ive never played it again...ever...

i would've agreed with you 100% like 2 months ago but after playing SC for the first time i have to say im looking forward to SC more but i will definitely buy both at launch tekken still has a place in my heart but im a sword fanatic so i have to go with SC although my first time ever hearing about the series was like 2 months ago i saw SC3 vids on youtube and was like wow a fighting game with weapons and i went to the story that same day and bought it on an impulse and never looked back

Tekken 6. The new air juggle rule, the weapons could be cool with it. It has every character ever from any Tekken Except for Dr. B, and Gon. Yes michelle and Jun are not there either, but there is Julia and Asuka, so it doesn't matter. SC4 still seems cool, but it sort of feels like SC2 because of guest characters and nothing has changed really except it will have online. I will still get both. Tekken just is more revolutionary this time around, just like SC was more revolutionary last generation. It won't becoming until 09 though.

I like Soul Calibur IV more. I dont have time to learn 60 commands for each character. Nothing wrong with that in Tekken. In the end, I will get both. But SC will always be a number 1 in my soul.

I think Soulcaliber will be better. Check out the E3 trailer some nice ingame footage- http://www.gametrailers.com/player/21746.html, its already looking great and the gameplay is very fun in soulcaliber 2.

Not so sure about Tekken, has loads of potential and good charactors and fighting moves, graphics too. Main flaw is i think juggling, this could ruin the game, could be great tho will have to wait and see.

I want Tekken to be better but am more confident about SC4.

Tekken 6, Tekken has better music, air combos, more characters, and has that Tekken feel to it.

SCIV just has lots of unlockables like artwork and weapon demonstrations.

I'll still be getting both but Tekken just has that aggressive hard hitting feel to it that gives it the edge over SC IMO.

Soulcalibur IV. I bought Tekken 5 for PS2 after Gamespot said the graphics and gameplay were amazing. Got it home and I was really disappointed. I like the analog stick movement in Soulcalibur much better than Tekken's d-pad. SoulCalibur... by far. I haven't even mentioned char creation...
