I don't know which to get. Street Fighter was always my favorite game but Tekken seems so cool and Tekken 4 was amazing to me. Which one should I get? And Why?
Both are great with SF having its old school feeling to 2D fighters and Tekken looking so good for a handheld game... thanks for reminding me of SF its been a while havent played it...
I bought the psp especially for tekken the day it launched & to this very day it didn't pop out of my psp. I have SF too but come on 5 moves a character? you'll get bored quickly. something else is it's very well known that the psp D-pad is pretty bad with fighting games especially when you need to perform the quarter & half notions wich in SF are essential. yeah same moves are required in tekken but you have a wider array of moves that are easy to perform. go with TEKKEN buddy,
Both are fantastic, you need to decided for yourself which one you enjoy. (Or both :))
Personally, I grown up with Street Fighter II back in 1994, and since then It my only favorite fighting game. You can read my PSP review of Alpha 3 if interested. 8)
I don't have Street Fighter, but Tekken DR seemd too indepth for a prtable game. If you are a fan of tekken and alreday know combos for alot of characters then get it by all means, but for me it seems a little overwhelming. I will be trading in DR for alpha one day. Alpha 3 is a classic.
both are great games, but SFA3m is the King. the psp version has so many modes, more characters, and is just a blast to play ... also on the slim the d-pad isn't an issue, there also an easy fix for the original.
Go with Alpha. It's the best version of that game (It has 3rd Strike's Yun!!) , plus you can hot key the special moves into one button. Imagine pulling off the Akuma's Raging Demon with the press of one button. Pure Pwnage.
well i got my psp 2 weeks ago but one of the biggest reasons why i got it is Street Fighter Alpha 3... this is the best version... i love tekken too but i already bought 5 for the PS2 and DR for the PS3 thats why i haven't bought it yet for the psp but i prolly will soon... there both 20 bucks brand spankin new so if u don't have them go for both... if u have a slim the dpad is not bad i think its better than any other dpad i've used with street fighter games before inculding the snes... moves are really easy to pull off i'm probably 95% with it now and i haven't had the game that long... i could do guiles flash kick super combo really easy with the PSP dpad and the face buttons are really responsive so akumas raging demon is really easy to pull off so its better to map PPP instead so you can teleport around i've had the gba advance and dreamcast versions and the psp controls a lot better than those plus it has world tour mode and you can make your characters super powerful... Street Fighter Alpha is really worth it and this is coming from a tekken fan... its a tough call and honestly they are both worth the cash
