Probably because you have no love for fighting games, or complicated ones at least. Spending hours to find the perfect way to combat different characters with your favorite characters is what this game is about. I mean, I once let my friend borrow Tekken because I said it was awesome. He played it for a day and said it sucked. Why? Because there were no flashy moves and you actually need to spend TIME to figure out how to kill everyone, unlike his favorite game, Naruto Ultimate Heroes or something.
Plus, the full featured gamesharing ability makes it easy to spar anyone else who has a PSP, whether they have the game or not. The game doesn't suck. You just don't like complicated fighting games that much. I bet you'd say the same for similar games like Soul Calibur or Virtua Fighter.

lol @ people who think the Naruto games are legitimate fighting games. they're button mashers as far as i'm concerned. unlike such a game as that, tekken has *GASP* depth to the gameplay.
I'm terrible at Tekken......
But I still love it. It just takes some getting used to. Once you are able to string together some combos, you should be able to enjoy the game. Try playing it with friends, it always increases the games fun-factor. Last but not least, if you still don't like it, you can always trade it in for another game. Some games arn't as good to some as they are to others.
Ok, buddy - I know there are alot of noobs looking for attention, but you dont have to start dumb topics to get it.
P.S. If you say tekken is boring you are : a fighting game hater ( in which place i dont even know why you botherd to buy the game ) or you are not a gamer. Point made?
Its one of my favourite PSP games out of all. I found it really addicting. I actually tried to stop playing it but I couldnt because I wanted to get to the last rank!
I got to Divine Fist with Lili, I suggest being a hot girl in it, youll want to get all the customisations. ;)
This is an
Tekken: Dark Resurrection got hella good gamespot reviews so I go out and buy it. So ive played for about half an hour and i think this game sucks. Yes the graphics are awsome but how can you play such a boring game. Does anyone agree or disagree and why???alexandermol
This is an example of when you should rent a game before buying it. Unless you're already an establish fan of the franchise, or you just don't mind experimenting with games, you should rent first.

well thats you opinion, if you dont like fighting games thats ur problem
Um, Tekken: Dark Resurrection is the best Handheld fighter (and one of the best fighters period) ever made. It is followed by Street Fighter Alpha 3 for the PSP as well. As a matter of fact, the PSP seems like the perfect portable choice for Fighting games. spidermanc2k
Tekken may have been great, but by in no means is the psp the ideal place for fighting games. Street fighter alpha 3 and darkstalkers are hard as crap to play on it, because the psps d-pad is bad. Even the psp slims d-pad, is still unresponsive and very bad.
But the main problem with dark ressurection is that it doesn't have a whole lot of replayablility. You own the cpu on hard, and thats really about it. On tekken 5 for the ps2, you had Jins single player mode, and the first 3 tekkens to play around with. Tekkens not a bad game, but its not my favorite when it comes to fighters. It hasn't really evolved at all, since the 3rd game. Its still felt the same. Look at virtua fighter. Going from 1 to 2 wasn't big, but 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 was. 4 to 5 wasn't huge though. Street fighter- 1 to 2 was HUGE, and then 2 to 3 had some pretty major additions. Soul calibur hasn't really changed it up though.
If you dont like fighting games , than Its normal to feel that way .
If you do , than Tekken DR is one of the best fighters of all ,and second best in the Tekken series ( afther Tekken 3 :) ) .

Of course, all fighting games suck with controls unless you have a copy of the original joystick and all. THe SLIM's d-[ad is the best of any handheld so far for fighting games and I think does a pretty dang good job.
I BOUGHT T: DR INSTANTLY THE MOMENT I BOUGHT THE PSP SLIM, EVER SINCE TEKKEN 3 I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF THE GAME I REMEMBER LONG HOURS INTO THE NIGHT TRYING TO FINISH THE LONG COMBOS OF BRYAN... BOTTOM LINE TEKKEN HAS THE WINNING FORMULA FOR THE COMPLICATED FIGHTING GAMES LIKE STREET FIGHTER HAD FOR THE 2D FIGHTING IN ITS TIME...
PS SORRY FOR THE CAPS LOCK THE KEY IS BROKEN... :P

Fan of fighting games or not, spending hours trying to figure out a good combo doesn't sound like much fun.

Use your shift-key?
Well I'm planning on picking either this or Wipeout Pulse this weekend. But this thread makes me so hyped to get this game LOL. Mann when I get this I can't wait to play it in Civics because of Game Sharing. :D
I knoe it won't be as good as Tekken 3 but I swear it's the Tekken I've always wanted.
Tekken on-the-go = Gold
