The gamespot score isnt out yet but judging by the scores around the net and player feedback, it isnt very good. Ive looked around and a lot of stores didnt even have it yet. I thought this was a big release? The average score from gamers on this site is around 7.5, thats brutal!

It's basically more of the same. The handling isn't improved much (if any) from the first game, but its campy nature is amusing and there's a ton of content. It also looks a lot better than the first game. I'd probably give it an 8.5. It also makes me think about what could be the ultimate automotive experience - TDU2 combined with GT5. Take the car selection and the handling of Gran Turismo and mix it with the open-world element and character stuff from Test Drive and you'd have one hell of a game. It would fix the handling problems of TDU2 and fix the structure problems of GT5.

Yeah and the graphics suck too, i might have looked into it but then i saw DLC on the PSN and was like 'WTF already?' damn greedy developers cutting content from games to later release the stuff at a price

The DLC is free with new copies of the game (at Gamestop, at least, I don't know about other stores) and the full game released at $50, not the standard $60.

I dont think the reviews are going to be very good. GS and IGN have both been advertising TDU2. When they do that and don't really like the game, they usually delay the release of the review. I messaged one of the IGN Editors. He said it would be out next week and apologized for the delay. That doesn't look good at all to me. So how does it compare to say Burnout Paradise?

This game has great elements for online gaming. The graphics have been dulled down due to the amount of online content to make everything run smooth. My pc runs this game on its highest settings without a single hickup. Travelling in a straight line going full throttle isn't too fast to miss anything important, but fast enough to feel like you really are going somewhere fast. This is only talking about straight lines though.

A huge, major and dissapointing flaw is the cars handle terrible. Even GTA4's driving physics are better than this. The cars don't feel right. They almost just seem to drive on artificial gravity, the steering way too twitchy and you can almost go 90 degrees around any corner at over 100k's an hour. The understeer is utterly laughable. This game boasts the best cars on the market today and they handle like rubbish.

To be honest. I think the graphics and traffic are exactly like Sims 3. If you've ever played Sims 3 the graphics are pasty (cartoonish but not unsightly) and you can see traffic in the streets literally whipping around any corner exactly like the Light-Cycles in the first TRON movie. Basically in a nutshell, this is an online driving simulator of Sims 3 that require unrealistic arcade driving skills.

This game is fun when played with real people. On your own it won't last more than a couple dozen hours. You'll likely be buying a new game to play by the next payday. Pity.

That's too bad, I was starting to get interested in this game. But if the physics are totally arcadey, heck with it. Bizarre decision to make a game about cars and then say screw it when it comes to how they perform. Oh well, plenty of other great racing games coming out this year.

I haven't actualy played it yet, but my friend bought the PC version and hates it. He was really disappointed. Apparently (this isn't my opinion as i havent played it) the handling is pretty stiff and bad, the licenses get really boring yet you have to do them, and he hates the general style and layout of the game. He says the graphics look epic though.

Average score of 7.5 is "brutal"? Really? My definition of brutal would be more like like 3.5. 7.5 means it's pretty good quality, but maybe nothing special and not keeping up with the absolute best games in the genre. Even though I have never had any intention of getting this particular game anytime soon (have too many racers already that I haven't played enough), I wouldn't let a 7.5 score scare me off. There's plenty of games with 6.0 or even 5.0 scores that I found to be plenty fun. Honestly if I were to have predicted a score for this game based on all the previews I saw, 7.5 is about on the high end for what I expected. A "pretty good" game.

I know I shouldn't compare, but I'm going to. TDU2 compared to Burnout Paradise, Midnight club, and other free roam driving games...is basically dated and not on par. The handling of the cars is poor and even the slightest nudge on the car wipes your money back to 0. I might rate this game a 6-7 after my next play, can't see my opinion changing personally. Don't buy at full price is my advice.

I totally agree. One of my favourite hack 'n' slash games is a 5.5, x-blades. and a game I am playing at the moment that i am hooked to is 7.5 which is the saboteur. Allthough i did have doubts about rogue warrior with a 2.0, and i was right to doubt it :?

Well, I wanted to like the first Test Drive Unlimited but no one ever seemed to have played it online even when it was first released. Also when you did find people most of them would just race around and do none of the events. So I wouldn't expect much from this one either in terms of online gaming.

well the review is in. gs gave it a 7.0 and the average scores have steadily been dropping. the common gamers are now giving it 7.1 and ya thats is pretty bad, i would say brutal. most times when a game is rated below 8, its not a game you want to put much time into. for psn games i dont care what the score is because i know its just a short fun game but for a full game i want some quality

I saw the trailer, and it looks pretty bad. I thought it was going to have better graphics and gameplay...

I figured the review would not be that great. 7.0 is not a disaster, but considering it's rare to see a game go below 5.5-6.0 on the scale, that's not good either. Anytime Gamespot or IGN delay releasing a review of a game they are advertising, it's not a good sign.

7 is still hardly 'brutal.' The review is fair, though, and you should be able to determine whether the game is interesting enough for you in the text and not the score. It's got some quirky handling and some online issues (which are likely due to launch), offset by an enormous amount of stuff to do and probably the most relaxing, laid-back atmosphere of any racing game.

I'd imagine any delays were due to the multiplayer-heavy nature of the game and the crappiness of the servers at launch, as well as the insane volume of content present in the game. (in the same vein it's no wonder the reviews aren't talking about the casino content, because the servers there are still mostly broken)

I really like how they've given all the cars personalities and they all feel different to drive but many other parts of the game are dissapointing like police and shallow online

The slightest nudge does NOT take it to 0 automatically ... unless you mean that you went of the road for an extended period of time or hit a few cars ... I think it's funny that the people who trash this game don't really understand how to adjust to it

Game Informer magazine gave the game an 8.5 and I would as well ... the graphics are NOT THAT TERRIBLE and you can CHOOSE how difficult you want the handling ... it's all up to you

I was watchign the IGN review where they show a car going off the road, flying through the air and...oh god. Funniest thing I've seen in quite some time
