Tetsuya Nomura Confirms Final Fantasy VII Games Incoming?

Talking to Famitsu in a two page article regarding Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, Tetsuya Nomura was quoted as saying:

"...that he believes he's done all he wants to do for Advent Children. However, he does have ideas for the next product in the compilation..."

This leads us to the assumption that a new game in the Final Fantasy VII series is on the cards, although not a remake of the first game as fans have been wanting since the beginning of this generation.

He further went on to add, "...that he doesn't expect any developments on the series for the time being."

This is to be expected, because Nomura is currently working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Nomura also revealed that "the designs for the main characters' clothing [in Final Fantasy Versus XIII] is complete" during the interview.

I think they are holding off on releasing FFVII on the PSN in case they have another giant delay for FFXIII. "Errr..FFXIII will be delayed for another year so here you go, play FFVII instead." Square-Enix knows they have us eating out of their hands.

We'll see, it could be anything really.

Im glad there keeping the FFVII story alive, it is by far the best (i kno, to each there own). I really am hoping for a remake, sequel and a prequel with a you playing as a young sephiroth, now that would be F'ing sweet.
