I wish people would stop using the word 'loyalty'. This is a BUSINESS. It's not about who's loyal or what, but it's all about the mighty $$$. Developers will go where the money is at.

Actually i think your confusing M$ with genuine dev's... what developer wouldnt decline an offer of 60 mil to put a game on a 360?
It's about who coughs up the most money, SONY / MS. Lots of money is invested in exclusives... developers don't have any problems with staying true to one system, but they need to see the green first. Sony "had" lots of exclusives, but just didn't show the green, which is why GTA, FF, RE, and other franchises of that nature were big mistakes if you ask me... everything soon or later for sony is goin multi-plat, I can see very soon too..Nocturnal_Speed
what you dont understand is that it is the THIRD PARTY games that are going multi-plat. first party games will NEVER go multi-plat they are owned by sony, there is a difference. games like warhawk, god of war, uncharted and so on will NEVER be multi-plat.

......did I say anything about third or first party?? Im talking about how developers (doesn't matter if it's third or not) arn't "loyal", but are intrested in the amount of money they will recieve or the best way to make it period. Like who wouldn't be??
MS has a sh*t load of money, come on it's freaking MicroSoft for g bless! It's the American Console just like Dallas is football hah (sorry to throw that example), but seriously who do you think is going to be first in line? it's just business..
Yah, agreed on the loyal devs part. If someone can really stay with the sony hardware and build ground up with alot of effort..You have a great product. All of the games that have been built ground up or by first party are complete examples of that.

Well not all have been great, Sony did release Lair after all.
Sqaure Enix, Rockstar, Capcom, were all loyal to Sony before. But when MS came into the picture with the 360 and offerd so much money for the ps3 franchises they just couldent resist that s h i t y money. But stop your crying. When i heard XIII was going to 360 on monday, then I whent nuts. But I just new there wasent anything I could do about it. Yes it is right Sqaure Enix is not the same people anymore. There is no loyalty in Sqaure anymore its only all about $$$$$. Sony just has to start relying on other companies. But we deffantly need to thank Konami for not letting Metal Gear going multi, that is deffantly a comapny that has loyalty. Its deffantly not Sony's fault to blame on XIII. They payed a big innof price of what they could offer. But when MS comes in to the picture. Its just to give up paying up the price all the time, because s h i t y MS never gives up until they get it.Tacticity
yeah it's a huge disappointment, but thats pretty much how it happened. Thank godness someone gotz the big picture... :|
i find extremely hilarious that everyone on here is talking about a company being loyal to another company what about being loyal to the players you know us lol. the best thing they can do to be loyal to the players is offer their game to as many people as they can, not all there fans have a ps3 nor want to get a ps3 just for that specific game.
why has talk about gaming become so disattached we are fighting for the companies that are supposed to be fighting for are buisness. i can understand if thye mad a bad game but offereing a game to more people hows that a bad thing for the players.
also it seems that the tc somewhat agrees with this when he posted about other games on other consoles going multiplat, something im also a fan of.

Lets show them our gratitute by showing them some love monetarily, let our wallets do the talking so i am gonna buy any exclusive that comes from this great developers and let them know why is to theyre best interest to devleop exclusive sony console.
They could make it easier on themselves and multiplat and double up theyre earnings but they choose to express themselves on a console thats more open to theyre creative artistic vision, and doesnt restrict certain size limits thru the network, dvd limits like mgs4 not having to cut back on the cutscenes etc.
I just want to say thanks to developers who make games like Metal Gear 4, Warhawk, Uncharted, Resistence and Naruto. Now those r exclusives. Who cares for Halo 3, if only we could get Gears of War 2.kalan22
Other than Konami all the companies you mentioned are sony 2nd party companies, so it's not loyalty. Plus naruto is out for other systems.

you said everything for sony is going multiplatform, i said its not possible because it isn't.
The only loyalty is loyalty to the fans. Which you don't see much of these days when most of these companies are sold to the highest bidder. Kojima on the other hand, was loyal to the fans and he only wanted to use the PS3 hardware (to realise his vision of MGS4) Kojima wasn't so easily bought. That's what makes Kojima good. Other companies should do this aswell. Think about the fans first. Not how much they're going to get for it and how fast they can push it out.
Also, I wish people would stop pretending like they're share holders of these companies. There are no loyalties to companies when it comes to the fans. We play the games, THAT'S IT. When you get an executivejob at a gaming company, then you can yap all you want. But until then, quit pretending like you matter and playing this "who's side are you on?" BS. Drink a tall glass of shut up juice, sit down and just play your damn game.
