The 2.36 Update....Is it hiding a secret?

After downloading the 2.36 and seing that it doesn't make a diffrence at all it left me wondering. What if it is actually information that will be used in the XMB or Trophy system and just requires a few lines of code to be activated.

This update was quite long and doesn't make a diffrence to the the PSN etc so its the only resonable explination I can come up with and along with the blogs announcement of 2.4 I think this update places its release as much sooner than we would think.

Its entirely possible the internet will die if a gaming site rumour is correct and it releases on the 18th. Imagine that a gaming site getting something right :O.

The updates are always long because you download the entire firmware every time, plus whatever they added.

i think it will mt likely be out before the 4th of july but updats bacck to back days have never happende and i dont see it comeing now.so the 18th is out.deon99

You may have a point, I feel that there could have been some parts of HOME codeing being downloaded with firmware updates. I don't think that there was really anything from Sony saying that HOME will be one single update.

Lol, wouldn't it be nice if we did get those features tomorrow but I think that along with everything Sony have done so far with regard to the PS3, it will be delayed!D1rty_Dawg

No wonder crazy rumors and things start.

Too bad Sony's VERY OWN BLOG released information saying the 2.36 was just to increase stability for certain titles....

It's not some 'underlying 2.40 that just needs activation.......' :roll:
