The 3 most iconic Playstation characters

You know, Nintendo has Mario and Xbox has Halo but Playstation has not one but 3 representatives, they are Solid Snake, Kratos and Dante. When ever I think about the Playstation these three characters always pop up in my mind and in my opinion they are the characters that mean Playstation to me. I'm not saying that MGS, GOW and DMC is all that Playstation offer but that these 3 are the greatest characters that define Playstation.

Snake, Kratos and Dante are completely different from each other and have different personalities which really brings them to life.

Solid Snake: The cool bad ass character who is a clone of a legendry soldier

Kratos: The Brutal bad ass character who has a short temper and a troubled past.

Dante: The stylish bad ass character who has some crazy skills and a cocky mouth

Crash bandacoot?

Yeah sure his a mascot but for the PS1 plus only for kids.

For PS2 its Snake, Kratos and Dante but I wouldn't really say mascots.

Crash isn't really a deep character like the 3 I mentioned.

• Crash bandicoot
•  the Wipeout vehicles.

Yeah I agree Crash is not only for kids that's like saying Ratchet is only for kids and it clearly isn't, but I wouldn't say Crash considering Naughty dog sold the lisence and same with what Insomniac did with Spyro.

and the only character that really could be playstation icon on your list is Kratos, because it's being developed and published by Sony. Where Snake has been on Xbox and Gamecube and dante has been on PC.

btw Snake is Konamis icon and Dante is Capcoms icon.
If you are gonna take an icon it should be a character from a game being that is at least published by Sony.

Kojima said in one of his interviews about a year ago that Snake will remain on the Playstation platform because his a PS character or something like that. Dante has never been on any other console apart from Playstation 2

Snake has been on Xbox and Gamecube, will be on Wii shortly and who knows maybe even Xbox 360.

So of the 3 I'd say Kratos I guess.

However I think Ratchet/Clank or even Jak/Daxter would make more sense, considering they've been used much more and I personally associate Sony systems with those characters as opposed to the ones you mentioned. I'd even go as far as to say Heichachi (sp?) from Tekken as someone too as he's be in the Tekken games and was PS2's character in Soul Calibur.
