So, I called Sony and this is what they said. All that's new is more support for playstation games and sharing themes from your psp through your psp. That's it. Not very grounbreaking. Your thoughts? Here's mine: :xMotownBear
Its better than nothing i suppose, i much prefer getting little trickles of updates rather than the 2 per year done by Microsoft.
This update was a waste of timeMotownBear
come on now. everybody complains that without the EE chip the BC is crappy and now people are are pissed about them fixing some of it.
the hell were you people expecting?
you all know the next major update is when the firmware with home is released
How so? Did you sit in front of your tv for hours on end watching the progress bar increase by 1% increments? If so, damn that was a waste of time, but wtf were you doing then??
For those of us who would like to see better backward compatibility with our PS1/2 games this is a great update as usual.
Shows sony is at least working constantly on bringing us better service.... Or do you expect free money and perhaps free games with your updates? I sure as hell wouldn't mind, but that doesn't make it a waste of time if I don't get free games and money with my update.
Go water your garden or something...
I heard that the thumbnails for videos and the XMB icons load much faster with this update...is that true?herviross_2nope

Yea I agree. Sony is much better off giving us updates frequently because it trys fix present problems.
I for one am pissed that Sony actually keeps working to give us a firmware update every month. I am PISSED. (did I lay the sarcasm on a little too thick?)The_Rick_14
Nope, just enough.;)
But really guys how can you actually be mad or disappointed in what Sony is doing? They are constantly bringing us updates and they are always striving to improve the quality of service they offer. I fail to see how some of you can be mad.
No, my update took app. 2 minutes. yours took hours because of your cheap crappy connection. so why don't you go back to school and learn something this time.....How so? I'm still looking for the source that states every PS3 update will be absolutely 100% groundbreaking.emitsu97
:D
Sony Europe has confirmed to Eurogamer that PS3 firmware version 1.92 is now available to download.

Unfortunately specific details on what has changed are still being confirmed, although a quick look at the official Japanese site points to some minor housekeeping tweaks.
It looks as though performance has now been improved in the PlayStation Store, while the second bullet point suggests a backwards compatibility update of some sort.
We'll bring you a full list of changes when we get our hands on them or when we learn to speak Japanese, whichever comes first.

Wow you are a witty one. Very very witty.
My connection may be crap, but at least I go to university instead of playing basketball in the hood with mah homies, then holding up a convenience store :)
Are you still angry with sony for not giving you money and free games with 1.92? Don't worry, I'm sure the next update will have money, so sit tight, and don't leave your couch!
i would expect a moderation from that.......

Oh so now you want to stereotype and be a racist, I see how it is!An update is an improvement, no matter how small.
So to all of those who are unhappy with it:
Would you like some cheese with your whine?

They intertwined the update with the previous update. But the new stuff is in there. Take a look:

Xbox ha 4 per year, and they're all relatively HUGE updates.Unlike the US site, the Japanese site didn't try to cover up a useless (for anyone but PAL and 80GB ownders) update by combining the previous worthwhile update with this one in one big list "included in 1.92 (with 1.90)" indeed. Anyway, something else is mentioned on the Japanese site that is not mentioned on the US site.
PLAYSTATION®Storeで配信される追加アイテム用の機能を強化しました。
Basically it says that the delivery of items from the Playstation store has been "strengthend". I sure hope so.
