why didn't you put racing there? that played a huge part of my gaming life, but i guess you could put the racing genre into sports.

rpgs and action/adventure games, they need more of them, nowadays theres not alot of them around, its all the fps and volent games like killzone, gta, fallout, dead space, call of duty, and fear (dont get me wrong, they are great fun), but theres too many choices, i dont no if its a good thing or not, but we need more games like jak and daxter, uncharted, ratchet and clank, kingdom hearts, and games like that, ps3 should go back to its roots for a change and look at games that were sadly discontinued

I am gonna go with RPG because Donkey Kong 64 was the very first game I ever owned and I felt is was much more RPG than action/adventure.

Action adventure for me. With Ocarina of Time ahead of the pack (it does have a bit of RPG in it.)

But it's pretty understandable that RPG leads the way.

Nice thread Musashi.

RPG for me, despite being limited to FPS and platformers now.

One day the RPG will rise up and take its rightful place on the genre throne of PS3 land.

The Platform genre (which would be part of the action adventure genre) is one of if not THE BIGGEST genre in video game history. That specific genre has played a huge part of my gaming life goin all the way back to the celecovision and NES days.

I thought action adventure would be like point and click type of games, like Heavy Rain or The Longest Journey..

I was strictly a sports gamer for the most part, until I got my ps3...............now sports is my least favorite.

Sure i played all the resident evils, used to love secret of mana on super nintendo.................but I always played madden and mlb games more than anything.

Thanks ps3! Sports games pale in comparison to todays FPS's and action adventurers of the world.

I'll go with the fighting genre, or more accurately, the Tekken series. I've owned every Tekken ever (With the exception of Tekken Advance on the GBA, but that hardly counts) and have been playing it practically non stop for the past 13 years. I must have racked up nearly 1000 hours of play on the series as a whole, and it's by far the most influential game series in my life. I can't wait to kick some butt with Dragunov in Tekken 6!

RPGs by far. FFX was the game that got me hooked on the genre and gaming in general. I had always liked games, but I became really interested in them after FFX. RPGs are my favorite genre now, and I have FFX to thank for that.

Oh no, trust me I was happy with the Bayonetta set up.

It got modded so I had to make a new one.

Do not judge a book by it's cover, especially that one.

Sports for me, Gran Turismo, NHL 2001 and Crash Team Racing were my most played games on PS1
