Now sony has convinced to get a PSP. And soon I will have one in my possesion. But I also heard from sony there will be a PSP2, but when? I don't want to wait for a long time for the PSP2. And what things will be better on the PSP2?

Should I get the PSP2 or the PSP1? And how much will be the PSP2?

Sony's made no announcement about a psp2... thats a rumor... though Im sure in a few years there will be a successor

It is a vicious rumour at the moment. Will happen, but not for at least 2-3 years.

I bought one last Sunday with the intention of playing games on it on filghts. It's a beautiful addictive little thing though and I find myself drawn to it and Killzone: Liberation again and again.

There is absolutely no statement about the PSP sequel from Sony officials and is just made up by people fooling around, spending spam. But due to the PSPs incredible success, Sony must be bent on making another one. But I think they have to first secure the PS3's starting position as it only came out 5 months ago. So I'll estimate that a PSP2 will be released in 3 years minimum. For the mean time, get a PSP :D

i think they'll make a psp-lite in 2008. everything will be the same, just smaller.

Ya just a rumor..but if you search around they said its suposed to have a hardrive. Only rumors...they also said it wont come out for about 3 years. So I would just get one if I were you.

It will be a wile till you see a psp2 but a redesigned psp1 is in the works.  It will be like the DS to DS Lite

We seriously need a sticky for these questions. A thread or 2 every day with the same question. God damn. Earliest it will be announced is E3 and I seriously doubt that. Way to early in it's product cycle. Get one now enjoy it.

The OP almost sounds the way some people do when they think God is talking to them except in this case it's Sony! Even though I don't believe the 'rumors' I also don't believe those who state there will definetly NOT be a newer PSP. I'm thinking of getting one but since the price drop I'll wait until July or so and see if anything's up.
