The best mech-game?

what's the best mech game for PS3, or are there any good ones? i'm looking for something like the classic Virtual On or Ghost In The Shell.

you can also name titles for PS2 or PS1. i think i'm going to try the original Armored Core for PS1, but i suppose the sequels are not that good?

didn't even remember reading that announcement until u asked about a mechgame here.. wish it is still in the making.

Zone of the Enders series easely, but besides that, Armored Core games are all great. Front Mission on the PS3 was rather disappointing

too bad i don't own PS2... i guess i'll be going with Armored Cores for now.

I dont think there are any good mech games honestly, nothing has been as good as mech assault on the xbox IMO. I wish they would make a great one on the ps3 though i miss those games

the Mech in KZ3 looks great. Gorilla should make a Mech game

Armored Core is awesome, but they never seem to get the scale right. I always feel like a dude in a robot costume walking around in a mini golf course. They all start with awesome cinematics that show there huge mechs blasting everything apart and sliding around, but I never feel the same way in the game. They also need to make the faction choices in the game more consequential to the story. If I pick one path, I should be company specific parts and a different ending. I love those games though
