The Darkness looks awesome!

Wow, this game doesn't stop surprising me every time i see new footage. I wasn't very interested but now i want this asap! I might even skip NGS or a while to play this game first.

Take a look at this gameplay footage, but beware because it's very graphical.

I know the feeling, I'm picking them both up on the same day. Seeing as how I already beat Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black, I don't mind putting it off for a few to play The Darkness.

EDIT: That footage looked amazing! Was it just me or did the firing of the guns look a little off. One more thing I'm not trying to stir anything up here, but does anyone know if that footage was on the 360 or PS3?

most footage i see on sites for the darkness are run on the 360.. looks VERY nice but im scared the PS3 version is gonna look a little worse (framerates / textures):(NADeSilva

Well, this game developers did say they were gonna take advantage of Blu-ray, including in the game extra content in the form of movies and TV series that you can watch on TV sets spread troughout the game. Not that Blu-ray can be any better for framerates and textures, but i'm confident that the PS3 version will be as good, if not better than the other version.

this is one of the most violent games out there.

yeah i too was not very interested in the darkness, at first. then i saw some game footage and i am for sure picking this one up. you know it's a good game when your son runs from the computer because he is scared of the monsters on the screen! anyway, this game looks demented, violent, and did I mention demented? yeah, a must buy for sure.

Give me a month, and i will have 4 ps3 games.

The Darkness looks awesome I love the Darkling sawing off dudes head, or when that other guy gets his head chewed off. Man I can't wait to play this multi player should be interesting aswell.

I believe the majority of The Darkness footage was shot from the 360 version.
