$5.00 and rumble are the only difference. ( and no more blue tooth drop outs like with the orginal sixaxis. )

dualshock has rumble, more weight, isn't transparent, and experiences no blutooth dropouts.

Im rather annoyed about this. Why didnt they just bring these out right away? Does anyone know? Cause here I am with 2 controls that are now obsolete and aside from that I have to spend more pennies on the new controls, cause lets face it rumble is heaps better this half-arsed motion sensing nonsense...

Mostly beacuse of their legal troubles with emersion even tho they told us that rumble would interfere with the motion sensing(my foot it would interfere) but you do realize that the dualshock 3 has both sixaxis and rumble right?

The only difference between the DS3 and the SIXAXIS is the weight and the vibration feature. The SIXAXIS that was released later didn't drop the Blu-Tooth connection and it also wasn't translucent like the first ones were.

Yeah I knew that, that was what made me think why didnt they just do it at the start? They said it couldnt be done, but apparently now it can be done?

What was the legal trouble please, I never heard anything about this...

So is it safe to buy a Six Axis in stores now without the fear of having blue tooth dropout?

Someone said that the new versions don't dropout. Is this true or not? Can anyone confirm?

There was a law suit, for the rumble technology, and Sony was not willing to pay for the requested royalties.

None of the controllers drop out. That only happened at launch, now it is fixed.
