im looking into buying the elder scrools IV for the playstation 3 but is the game worth buying if you cant dowload any extra content and are you missing out on much?

you got it backwards it has knights of the nine but not shivering isles i have it for my ps3 great game i've had it for about 6months and still haven't done everything way more than worth the $29.99 i spent on it

Well it depends if your comparing the 360 and PS3 version your not missing out on much. But, if your comparing the PC and PS3 version you will be missing out a lot. The brilliant mods and the great dedicated modding community has kept me playing the game.

just the horse armor, you still get Knights of the Nine (quest) and Shivering Isles (30 hours expansion)

yes it does, if you have the regular edition, you can purchase the SI in the PSN for 29.99 or if you are going to get the game, you can buy the GOTY edition that comes with both things.
