cmon..the update will come around the 23th thats the reason, they are releasing hot shots golf demo...
they dont wanted to overload the servers with that demo and the update at the same time...hot shots should be coming on the 15th or something like that
It was mentioned as supposed to be coming today. There were some links out there etc, but we shall see - day isn't over yet..... if it comes tomorrow that would ok as well - before the weekend :)
I don't think it’s possible that we'll have a firmware update again this week, probably next week before the European launch but not two weeks in advanced. We already had one last week, why another this week?
the demos were confirmed at GDC to be released on 3/8 (today). If they fail to bring them out, it'll be a slap on the face of all ps3 users. I really hope they do it earlier in the afternoon, I don't want to be downloading all night and play demos tomorrow. I've been really wanting to try VF5 before deciding to buy it.
virtua fighter 5 is not that good... well atleast for me haha. i could never get into those kinds of games... except tekken but that takes me back to 1995 when i was 7 and had THE ultimate gaming system, Playstation 1. No, I'm looking forward to Lair and Warhawk demos which look like very much fun indeed. Until its in the store ill just have to keep dominating motorstorm :) Oh, by the way, I LOVE my playstation 3
Welcome to my world, you bought and under priced Blu Ray player. I dont even use it for that since my Harmony wont work with it and Im not gonna use the crappy Sony controller. Another great move by Sony.

1. There was never an update rumored for March 8th. Only the release of demos. 2. If the demos are released, it will be later on today. 3. Don't believe everything you read.
Man... Sony has us all by the nuts. Just look how many people are sitting on these forums clicking refresh, waiting for update/demo news. It's like a 3-point shot for the win as the buzzer goes off in slow motion.. We are all just waiting with anticipation, and If it goes in and we get our demos we will go nuts and be all pumped up, but if it is an air ball and we get nothing everyone is going to cry.

yea thats what ive been thinking...why cant sony just outright say this rumour is strictly rumour and there will be NO update or new releases this week on psn...then everyone will stop makin threads like this.
I dont give two **** I just want Mortal Kombat II. Which is pretty sad considering I am passing on Motorstorm, VF5, Icon, Street, (the only games to come since the DROUGHT!) for a $5 16 bit port I played as a kid.
However I REALLY WANT MK2 NOW!!! TODAY. but i heard it comes on march 13th now (IGN)

The update was never given a date. I've seen all the site posted ( to my knowledge at least) about it.
IMO i dont want an update unless its substantial. Enough minor updates that we dont really notice for now. Add those things in with the major updates like bg downloads or something. I dont like trying to play a game to see that i have to sit around and what an updte and install it too. Maybe im just more bitter beacuase last time i didnt have my usb charger so i was Fd for a while, and couldnt play anything untill i got it back. Demos would be nice. QUESTION... Is PS3 temporaily behind 360 as far as release dats for games or is this going to be long term trend?
