Auctally if you think about it the intro is the beginning of the game. not the menue/the video that playes in the back ground. so yeah MGS4's inro is better

Personally, MGS4 for me. It just seems so sad, especially that instrument they used (forgot what it was called) can really pull those emotional strings. The song in the intro is called "love theme", but it sounds more like your "love" just died lolDenji

While my favorite intro stands with the MGS2 intro, I still have to say that this intro rocks.

Before playing the game, I stared at this intro thing forever. I was like "wow, I'm about to play Snake's final journey :|"

No, that's the theme where he's at the grave site and when he gets up after hiding from the gekkos. I'm talking about the actual intro, where Snake is talking about how war has changed with all those militia men in the truck.

Yes, you are right that intro is also awesome, my second favorite intro is MGS2 intro great stuff.

maby because its CGI and not in game graphics? all the metal gear games us in game graphics for there cutscenes and intro movies.

that had to be the most amazing intro ive seen in any game to date. it will take alot for a game to beat that intro. choreographed and motion captured by Donnie Yen, what more could anyone want!!!. if you aint seen it i highly recommend you check it out on youtube, you wont be dissapointed.
