Stop it, seriously. There are already a million of these threads and the games aren't even similar in any way, shape or form other than them both being open-world, but by that logic you might as well compare them to GTA.

I prefer InFamous.

prototype, infamous is fun and all, but prototype is SO much more fast paced, I love the hand to hand combat, the creatures are amazing, and the missions aren't AS easy-dumb as inFamous was. Although I rented inFamous and beat it with a friend, and have only watched my friend play prototype for the last few days, prototype looked like the superior version. I've only seen it played for so long cause my friends mod their 360s, but have any of you guys actually played prototype or have seen it in person before voting? Cause if so, I don't understand, since prototype just feels SO much more badass. Are you guys wearing your fanboy goggles or something?

I REALLY like the more fast paced feel to it.

I have both games but I am infamous is just way too much fun!!!! :)

I haven't played Prototype yet, but I truly believe that it will be better than Infamous.

well so far on gamerankings infamous is at an average of 85% whereas the ps3 version of prototype is at an average of 92%. other than IGN, all the review sites so far have given it a 4.5/5 or a 9/10 or higher. Yes, it only has 5 reviews compared to the 50 in infamous, but IGN is the only place to review the game bad so far. the 360 version of the game so far is getting an 85% in 5 reviews. Also IGN reviewed the 360 version.

so by barely dipping your feet into the game, and only playing the introduction is enough for you to say it's not even worth a rent? I wonder how reviews would be for every game ever created if the reviewers only played the introduction of each game they reviewed, and based their review on that.

I don't feel that the controls or the camera sucks, but the visuals aren't up to par with infamous. however, I don't play games for the graphics, I play for the fun gameplay. I guess you saw that you wake up in a morgue, and you have your powers but no memories, so the main story is to find out who did this to you, it would be to stupid if it was revealed who did it in the beggining, like if you learn on beggining of infamous who caused the explosion.

okay, but it still doesn't take away from the fact that you've barely played it and haven't seen anything deep into the game, and yet you say it's not even worth the rent. I don't think you've played it nearly enough to make such a statement.

I didn't review the game, and I didn't make a statement as drastic as "this isn't even worth a rent". I compared the two from what I've played and seen, and gave my two cents. I didn't recommend buying or not buying the game, but if I was to actually purchase and not rent infamous or prototype, I'd definitely go with prototype. It appeals to my taste a lot more, and I like the fast pace + dark theme. I've seen more of the game then he has, and it's ridiculous to make a statement such as the one I quoted. everyone likes different games/styles/stories and it's been getting some high scores so it's definitely worth renting to try it out for yourself to make your own comparison.

inFamous is a bit better as an overall package but I have both and Prototype is a blast to play, its a shame it has the worst graphics i have seen this gen.

Gran Turismo and Burnout are both racers, yet comparing them is pointless because they are totally different games that try to entertain you in different ways. The same applies here. Not that I, or anyone else, can't enjoy one more than the other, but I think you get my point.

So, to answer, both for different reasons.;)

scenario:

boy takes bite out of pizza... "this tastes like sh*t!"

he then throws away the unfinished portion...

maybe the first bite was tainted and the rest of the pizza fine? he'll never know but his opinion of the whole was based on a bad first taste

aaaaanyways. i vote infamous for no other reason than that it just appeals to me more. prototype just feels like they threw in extreme gore for the wow factor... unlike gow3 where it's fitting

I have both, and I refuse to vote. I like both games equal. And just out of curiosity, how did this fued come about? Is it because the release dates are close and because they are sandbox? I honestly see no relation what-so-ever between these two games... They are both good for their own reasons.
