talk of the devil. We just had a clan match and about 5 seconds before it started the game started to lag out. It was the worst lag ive ever experienced on killzone and was as bad as connection interrupted on cod4. It was clear it was a lag switch. Its annoying because we lost valor and have no way of getting it back.

Better if they could lock that MAC address so that person couldn't just create a new id and keep playing. Lock them out completely via help from Sony - now that would get us going in the right direction

When the switch is activated, the device is designed to function for a few seconds on a timer, effectively blocking all network traffic between the local game device and the Internet temporarily. Used during gameplay, the device causes the person using a lag switch to appear to opponents as frozen while in fact they are still able to play locally and gain advantages in the game. When the lag switch timer expires, the local game device will resynchronize with the online game that appears to opponents in a sudden burst.

I think I only saw this once in Killzone 2. Except I didn't know what it was at the time. I was wondering why out all the Killzone 2 matches I played that that specific match was soo laggy, no other match even had the slightest bit of lag.

I've seen this, but the person was frozen because he was leaving the game though, but thanks for this unknown knowledge.
