Amazing stuff, simply amazing, brutal, visceral stuff. Everything in this game is nothing short of perfect. Yes, even the bulletproof couches. The wrecked, flooded city, the deathly silence, the graphics, the sound design, the dialogue, the tension during an encounter, the absolutely feral violence of combat. There were monumental expectations surrounding this game and it delivered and surpassed them. Easily one of the 3 contenders for GOTY of any year it will come out. Enjoy the gameplay linked above if you haven't seen it yet.

The game simply blew my mind, as I expected it would.

Naughty Dog are masters of their craft. They created my favorite game ever (Uncharted 2) and, IMO, they created the best new franchise this gen in Uncharted.

I expected amazing, and they delivered, as always.

I was actually disappointed. I was hoping Naughty Dog would offer the survival Horror experience that's been lacking for so long... This gameplay trailer comfirmed what I feared. Naughty Dog has decided to define themselves as a cinematic developer.

In fact, Ubisoft seemed to be the only ones that actually showed real gameplay experiences this E3 so far. It's been really disappointing this year.

This.

I've never seen a game that good. It just blew me away! Definitely day 1 purchase!

Remember that Naughty Dog said they intended to change the face of gaming and standard with this game - Looks like they are delivering!

I was wathing it not fully sure what type of game it would be, but it definitely seems like it'll be a survival game. I'm glad your AI partner actually helps, and I hope in the actual game there won't be any major AI issues with her, as it seems like her helping is a major part of your survival.

It's also nice to see they decided to make it an M rated game, I was afraid they may try to make it T like Uncharted is.

I didn't even notice, and this is probably a stupid question, but is there a release date for this game?

I always had faith in Naughty Dog, but I wasn't sure this game would be worth all the hype it got. I was watching the E3 demo not expecting much, needless to say I was put in my place. Yeah, the demo was stunning, kudos for Naughty Dog.

I agree, it was truly breathtaking. What really blew me away was how the action almost seemed scripted because of the quality of enemy responses, dialogue and camera presentation in a setpiece. The graphics are outstanding and the post-apocalyptic atmosphere looks spot on, really glad I'll get to play this in the future, definitely a one-of-a-kind gem we'll be treated to.

we can pull apart every game made from the last 40 years and find flaws...and if this game doesnt blow you away or get your attention, you MIGHT wanna consider taking some time away from gaming and OR go back and play pong to see just how far we've come. I havent been hyped for a game in a while. Matter of fact i dont really even play anymore..BUT i will be buying this gem.

Just when I thought this generation of gaming was beginning to dwindle and then this pops up. The Last of Us looks incredible, absolutely 100%. The premise and setting could not be in safer hands than Naught Dog either! For once we're going to see a post-apocalyptic, single-player thriller deliver where others have tried and failed *cough* dead Island *cough*

This and Watch Dogs are the two titles that have blown me away so far. I wasn't expecting the Last of Us to be so survival-centric and visceral. I love the fact that we're not seeing any regenerating health which in my opinion is one of the best returns to old that some big titles have made this year (Twisted Metal, Max Payne 3).
