From a financial standpoint, it would be hard to argue that the PS3 did remarkably well when it was released. I mean, they made it impossible to get, and released it for $600 a year after the XB360 and alongside the cheaper Nintendo Wii.
Not to mention, the launch titles weren't that great. But if you are a fan of Sony, like I am, it is hopeful that they will regain some ground when the bread winner games come out. Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, Final Fantasy etc. Though I am worried that based on the poor launch, that if Sony doesn't recover fast, it may go the way of the Dreamcast.
