I've only once payed full price for a game ($60) and that was ME2. Other than that games are so expensive that I usually wait for them to get to at least $40 so I'm not stuck playing just one game for a while. ME2 was a must buy since it's the only one on the ps3 and is pretty much one of the very few sci-fi games out this gen. Plus, it's basically what I've been wanting in a game since the ps2 era, so it was a no brainer to get this asap.
I may have to pick up Deus Ex: Human Revolution on release day since I've been waiting for it for a few years now and it apparently is already getting really great reviews.
100 bucks + tax for God of War III Ultimate Edition. One of my favorite purchases, worth every penny I paid for it and more.
GOW III $14.99, i like never buy games at launch or full price, especailly now since they most games drop pretty fast

yeah, pretty much this. I waited a little less than a year for FFXIII and got it for $18. In a way it's a shame since it encourages people to wait longer and get it cheaper, which can sort of be negative to the dev in the long run. Granted, it may balance out since it causes people to buy more games, and there are still a ton of people who will get games at $60, which I will do for at least one game in the upcoming months (if Deus Ex has a long campaign then it'll most likely be that to kick off the autumn). I'm hoping either Crysis 2 or Alice: Madness Returns will get a price drop so I can get that along with Deus Ex.

Deus Ex has 20 hours campaign I believe, 35-40 if you want to finish the side quests. Though it has many endings and very high replayability value. If it fits your game type and you enjoy its genre then it's worth full price for sure, so if you do enjoy it and are willing to replay it you can easily spend 100 hours on it. I know I'm going for the platinum so I guess I'm looking at 150 hours or so.

Nice to hear this. I'm playing through the 1st one now (yeah I know, just a tad late to the party) and am really liking the mix of fps and rpg. If the new one is anything like this then it'll be pretty amazing. I like to get the most out of a game as possible so I'll be sure to do the sidequests.
I paid $99.99 + tax for Gran Turismo 5 Collector's Edition (I am pretty sure I had a $50 GameStop gift card for that, though). Other than that, I paid $59.99 + tax for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and GTA IV. Those are the only games that I have paid full price for. The rest of the 25+ PS3 games I own, I probably paid around $25 for each of them and they were all bought new.
Also, I'm pretty sure I will be getting Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Collector's Eddition so that will be $99.99 + tax as well.
$25 is my max. All I have to do is wait until the game is at least six months old before that happens and that's not a problem for me.
In the past, $60 on a new game quite a few times..
Now days, $30, or $40 the absolute most. I buy everything used on Amazon now, and what sells at Gamestop for $15 or so, I seem to be able to find for $5 or so on Amazon. For newer games, they are usually around $30-$40 used. I don't mind waiting a bit before I buy a new release.
The most I pay is £40. Anthing over that price is usually a game published by Activision, and I refuse to pay more.
I'll cough up £45 for a nice cheap collector edition like Heavy Rain, LBP2 or the up-coming Deus Ex, but I try not to pay more than £35 for a standard edition.
$60. I almost never get any Collecter's Edition or stuff like that. The only one of those I have is the Infamous 2 Hero Edition, since it was on sale for $60.
