I've ordered a PSP, but recently I've heard rumours that the square button on the PSP is pretty crappy- something to do with it being too close to the screen, therefore getting stuck when pushed too often. i want to know if any of you gamers have had a problem with the square button? Cheers.

It is pretty close to the screen, and rarely when I push on it on the left side it seels kind of... odd. But no, ive never had any problem of it getting stuck(boucht it a little over a year ago). If there was a problem its been fixed.

The stickey square button was a problem within the first couple months of release of the PSP (along with dead pixels). It's fine now :)

Nope no problem at all, i just spammed mine and it's fine, mines a pre--owned unit too. The only design flaw i think is the analog stick can give you thumb cramp if you play long sessions of monster hunter like me lol.

The first PSPs when they came out had a square button that was closer to the screen then intended, something to do with the size of the PSP...not sure, but basically it just feels a little different than the other buttons when pressed but it really isn't anything major most of the time you don't even notice. And no it doesn't "stick" at all.

I have not heard of the square button myth but my triangle button is not as responsive as my other buttons after playing tekken dark ressurection for forever.
