The next Game of the Year...?

Hey all, just set up this post to check out what people think is going to snatch Game of the Year this year. I set up a poll with the few I think have a chance but if you think otherwise please post your ideas! :D

Oh and by the way, even though they my not get GotY I also think SOCOM and Resistance 2 are going to be big.

(Not including MGS4 or GTA4 simply because I was thinking of upcoming game's when I made the post and can't add them now, sorry.)

You could be right, it does look very good and Oblivion was amazing, just don't think it has the innovation Farcry has.

FarCry 2? Really? And Call of Duty? I have a feeling they'll both be great games, but doubt they'll get GotY.

I think it'll be MGS4 or Fallout 3. Maybe GTA4, but I wouldn't personally vote for it.

Hmm, personally I'm backing MGS4. But if I had to pick out of those 4 I'd say Fallout 3 would win.

yeah me to, GTA4 was a let down.

Why isn't MGS4 and GTA4 in the vote options? At least according to gamespot, those 2 are "perfect" games.PSdual_wielder

Yeah Far Cry does look amazing, Ill probably get that instead of Fallout 3, both are going to be great though.

MGS4 is the best game made on the new consoles. There's no discussion about that...

The second best would be Devil May Cry 4 and then propably Saints Row 2.

And then comes GTA IV or Ninja Gaiden 2.

But those are just my votes...

I like to hope that LBP wins, I believe it deserves it far more because of how innovative it is. Fallout 3 looks great tho too ad I feel that this is going to win it, tho I don't believe it deserves it as much...

But there are a lot more games to compete with this year... and we have to wait and see just how great Fallout 3 is

MGS4 and GTAIV were letdowns for me. They were good but didn't meet my expectations. However, MGO is addicting to me like it was with COD4. I think the GOTY should go to Fallout 3 if the game meets the expectations which is very high possibility because of the articles Ign wrote a week ago saying they had much fun playing the game and that the game was HUGE. Forget about Far cry 2 there is not even a chance for that game, not that it look bad but i doubt it will be goty, maybe call of duty, but we all know that MGS4 will win this game was near perfection

Innovation? Its just like any other shooter with gorgeous graphics... I would put MGS4 and Gears 2 up on that list also

I think there's more to it than just gorgeous graphics, the gameplay looks amazing and seems so realistic. Plus the 50 sqaure kilometres of open world to explore and the dynamic storyline make it completely different to any FPS i've seen, and then theres the map editor...no waiting for map packs containing 4 maps and costing money.

yea well, the results would be wayyyyyyy different if the games I mentioned were there. Need to realize that.
