Lol hey Guys!, just wondering , is weapons/accessory really important in this game? I'm currently in chapter11 and just farming Crys points. I mean I upgrade my weapons and all, but is there such thing as Ultima weapon here? :P. Thanks! And the story is great so far, I love all of the characters, yes even Vanille :D

really? cause i'm playing on an 80gb and an 09 Plasma and i haven't really noticed any slowdown during the cutscenes.. a little bit when i have alot of spells all going off at the same time (Tri-Disaster paradigm FTW!)

If he's talking about what I'm talking about then its the game. I got a 46" LG LCD TV with a 120hz refresh rate, so I just can't see it being my TV. :P I also have the same PS3 that you got. The slow down I'm referring to is VERY VERY subtle. There's no skipping or anything, but everything is going slower. It also only happens during the cenimatic cutscenes.

I always forget to check if I have unlocked any themes. Do you get a notification when you do it? Or just check by yourself in themes on XMB?

To get the theme you have to go to the main menu. New Game, Load Game, Setting then there could be an Extras once you unlock a trophy theres 7 in total.-Hoax-

Just finished the Titan's Trials, woot! 5 starred most of them, but the last dude gives you 16 minutes to do it, and it took me 22. And he isn't vulnerable to Death >.< And he can't be Staggered -_- Gonna have to power up a bit and come back with the Gold Watch. How's everyone doing?

You need a specific component once you've reach the * level. I can't remember off the top of my head, not at home, but it will be the only one highlighted in the components menu when you try to upgrade it. They each have their individual component needed to upgrade to tier 2, however, all tier 3 Ultimates require Trapezehedrons.

Oh okay thank you, i'm currently using Gladius for Lightning, and Bladed Lance for Fang, both them is my strongest char in my party. I both upgraded the weapon and a star appeared, and I can't seem to upgrade it more. Bloodseeker23

Ack, let me try to think which line I went down with my main party (Lightning, Fang, and Hope)

Lightning: Lionheart > Ultima Weapon > Omega Weapon - Chose Lionheart path for Quick Stagger and balanced stats as she's usually a RAV or MED

Fang: Taming Pole > Venus Gospel > Kain's Lance - Chose Taming Pole path for ridiculously high strength

Hope: Hawkeye > Eagletalon > Nue - Chose Hawkeye path for ridiculously high magic

I will Upgrade for synthesis abilities at a later date, just going for pure stats right now, and it's doing the job quite nicely. I haven't gotten into Sazh's, Snow's, or Vanille's weapons yet, though I will be once I have my main party's ultimate's to level cap.

Maybe with Bahamut? Only way I can think of...that isn't possible otherwise without the Genji Glove accessory (which I just got for Fang, woot!) that lets you break the 99,999 damage cap. But I believe Bahamut is capable of it as well. And Hope's HP ain't bad, mine is sitting at 16k right now, though Vanille has 2k on him.

Yeah, lol. I'm 55 hours in, beat it at about 42 hours in. But there's so much more to do. So much grinding and Mark Missions to do. I just finished the Titan's Trials, and I'm about 4 Missions away from getting a Growth Egg, which doubles CP gain, which in turn will make grinding so much quicker. I expect to have the game platted sometime next week.

Just my opinion. And I didn't start upgrading until the very last chapter, I didn't find it necessary. But yeah, those are the three paths I took for my main party, and it's working out quite well. The Hawkeye line has the highest Magic (900+) for fully upgraded Ultimate, the Taming Pole has highest Strength (900+, maybe 1000+) for a fully upgraded Ultimate, and Lightning's Lionheart is balanced, but the end results are lower (500+ for both STR and MAG) Tad low, but it comes with the Quick Stagger ability, and since she's usually a RAV anyways, it works out well. She's still the most versatile member capable of retardedly good damage, Chains quick, Army of One makes for near-instant 999.99%, then I switch to Aggression so she and Fang go dual COM on whatever I'm fighting. Point is, don't get disheartened when you see her Ultimates stats don't go very high in the Lionheart line, it lets her do what she's made to do.

Fight to the end, then when you encounter the Juggernaut, just Pause and hit Retry. This respawns everything. Then just run back to the save point. And there's a few of those, actually. There's the Adamantoise, the Adamantortoise, the Adamanchelid, the Shaolong Gui, and the Long Gui. I can take down the Adamanchelid like cake, but the other 4 are still beyond my grasp. I'll be farming Adamantoise's as soon as I am able though, as they drop 40,000CP, a Platinum Ingot for their normal drop (sell for 150,000 Gil) and a Trapezehedron for their rare drop (needed to upgrade to Ultimates, can be bought for 2,000,000).

Can you do the missions in any order? And how many are there?-Hoax-

There are 64 in total, and while you don't have to strictly do them in order from 1 - 64, most of it is structured that way. Most of the Cie'th stones are close to the next corresponding one that you should do next, or end near the one you should do next, though not all of them are like that. Just explore, try the ones you find, remember or write down where they are, and don't worry about 5 starring them the first try.
