Got the game and played it a few minutes and the game seems to play it self. You just jam X and win all fights. Does it get more strategic as you go on?
bloodling
LOL, yes because you have to switch up the combonations and decide what skills and talents you want on every individual "circuit".
It's much more than that actually. First of all I end up spending so much time in the menu changing equipment, switching team members depending on the buffs/healing/tanking/damage wanted, figuring out which paradigms would be best. Then you gotta find the perfect balance by keeping your team alive, your buffs active, taking care of multiple opponents quickly, putting a sentinel in there if needed, keeping the chain boost steady with a commando, then fire it up with 2 or 3 ravagers (while making sure to have at least one commando in the group just before the enemy is staggered) and keep the enemy in the air with your commando (or ravager if you have aero). Personally I always keep Light team leader to do this job. Remember, you can always press O to get the best timing and the most damage out of your staggers, or to help you get a few extra ATB bars to get you out of trouble. It gets really intense in the later chapters.
I won't disagree with you that alot more goes into it. I love switching between circuits in the middle of a battle. It's so much fun and takes plannning ahead of time.
I'm at the end of the game, things have definitely gotten interesting. By the time of FF15 I bet Square Enix will have all the rough edges worked out, if their are any here. It's different but I enjoyed the game so far. I'm going to go fight the final boss now.
CHEERS!or not...I don't know what the hell is going on in this chapter yet...13 is sort of strange. I won't spoil anything...
