[QUOTE="-Hoax-"]Can you do the missions in any order? And how many are there?Khadaj32

There are 64 in total, and while you don't have to strictly do them in order from 1 - 64, most of it is structured that way. Most of the Cie'th stones are close to the next corresponding one that you should do next, or end near the one you should do next, though not all of them are like that. Just explore, try the ones you find, remember or write down where they are, and don't worry about 5 starring them the first try.

64! Nice. Im on chapter 10 (Big Boss Fight) how far is Grand Pulse from there.

Taming Pole and Lionheart?

Taming Pole: Chapter 11, in Oerba, I believe. It's after the Tower. It can also be bought from the Gilgamesh store, but to unlock the store requires a hard fight with a Neochu.

Lionheart: It's like, the first treasure you come across in Chapter 12. Can be kinda easy to miss, though. Can also be bought, and I THINK it's also in the Gilgamesh store.

[QUOTE="matthewd49"]

okay so from what ive heard the best weapons to up if you were to assemble a team of lightning, fang, and hope are:

fang: taming pole

hope: hawkeye

lightning: lionheart

correct?

now i was wondering since im in chapter 8 if i should wait until i reach chapter 12 to start upping (once i obtain the lionheart) or begin upgrading lightnings axis blade. thanks in advance.

Khadaj32

Just my opinion. And I didn't start upgrading until the very last chapter, I didn't find it necessary. But yeah, those are the three paths I took for my main party, and it's working out quite well. The Hawkeye line has the highest Magic (900+) for fully upgraded Ultimate, the Taming Pole has highest Strength (900+, maybe 1000+) for a fully upgraded Ultimate, and Lightning's Lionheart is balanced, but the end results are lower (500+ for both STR and MAG) Tad low, but it comes with the Quick Stagger ability, and since she's usually a RAV anyways, it works out well. She's still the most versatile member capable of retardedly good damage, Chains quick, Army of One makes for near-instant 999.99%, then I switch to Aggression so she and Fang go dual COM on whatever I'm fighting. Point is, don't get disheartened when you see her Ultimates stats don't go very high in the Lionheart line, it lets her do what she's made to do.

thank you very much.

Yeah, you'll prolly have a good amount of "Chip" items (Credit Chip, Incentive Chip) Seed items, and a few other premiums to sell for a good wad of cash. With efficient use of the multiplier, I was able to upgrade all 3 of their weapons to the highest level of the second tier with some Gil left over in Chapter 13. Don't bother trying to get their Ultimates before you finish the game though, as Trapezehedrons can only be reasonably obtained post-story, unless you want to grind for literally thousands of hours.

Got the game and played it a few minutes and the game seems to play it self. You just jam X and win all fights. Does it get more strategic as you go on?

I hate to sound clice, but.... It gets better. Its obvious that one thing SE wanted was for there to be something new to look forward to as you play, because a lot of what seems missing in the game just comes to you slowly throughout the story. Eventually, you're given so many options you don't know what to do with them. Like in chapter 9 when you're given the option to form your own party and 10 when you're given the ability to give your characters whatever roles you choose...... Takes a bit of thought on who to put together and what roles they should have. Cool thing is that the enemies become diverse enough that you may find yourself switching party members like you switch paradigms since you made need some good synergists for some battles or all top notch ravagers or whatever.

Anyone seeking a way to upgrade their weapons most quickly and efficiently should check out this guide:

http://dissidiaforums.com/showthread.php?t=4319

The information he provides at the bottom is invaluable. I made 2 purchases and 2 upgrades that got my Blazefire to tier 2. Saved me all the crazy routing through different stores and trying each component individually only to realize most of them are total garbage.

LOL, yes because you have to switch up the combonations and decide what skills and talents you want on every individual "circuit".

It's much more than that actually. First of all I end up spending so much time in the menu changing equipment, switching team members depending on the buffs/healing/tanking/damage wanted, figuring out which paradigms would be best. Then you gotta find the perfect balance by keeping your team alive, your buffs active, taking care of multiple opponents quickly, putting a sentinel in there if needed, keeping the chain boost steady with a commando, then fire it up with 2 or 3 ravagers (while making sure to have at least one commando in the group just before the enemy is staggered) and keep the enemy in the air with your commando (or ravager if you have aero). Personally I always keep Light team leader to do this job. Remember, you can always press O to get the best timing and the most damage out of your staggers, or to help you get a few extra ATB bars to get you out of trouble. It gets really intense in the later chapters.

Well, that's nice to know. I wasn't trying to troll or anything, I'm only about 15 minutes into the game but noticed combat is very shallow.

I won't disagree with you that alot more goes into it. I love switching between circuits in the middle of a battle. It's so much fun and takes plannning ahead of time.

I'm at the end of the game, things have definitely gotten interesting. By the time of FF15 I bet Square Enix will have all the rough edges worked out, if their are any here. It's different but I enjoyed the game so far. I'm going to go fight the final boss now.

CHEERS!or not...I don't know what the hell is going on in this chapter yet...13 is sort of strange. I won't spoil anything...

Can anyone provide me with a list of areas that remain accessible after the end of the main story? Even if you only have the few that you have discovered from experience, please share! I'm far away from my PS3 now, and though I've completed the main story, I had no time to embark on any additional exploration. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks :)

EDIT: Oh and I just found out that almost every component in the game can be obtained from dismantling weapons or accessories. God. Dammit.

You could revisit Gran Pulse and Eden I believe. If you reload the last save file after beating the game, it'll take you to the room before the final boss. From there you could trace back and there should be two portals leading to Gran Pulse and Eden.

Edit: Btw, is there any reason why I should use weapons with Stagger Lock abilities? Is it just for better stats if you upgrade those weapons?

2 questions...

1. at the begining of chapter 11 you see some MASSIVE "thing" pick up a enemy and eat it-can you fight it and if so whats the enemy called?

2. the crystariam has really opened up now but upgrades cost about 6000 each, have you been concentrating on the jobs you started with or learning new ones? the new jobs are hard to learn as they are also about 4000-6000 each but the upgrades dont give you much compared to the jobs you have alrweady been learning

I suppose they have better stats, but it's still annoying since you won't be able to stagger witht he one wielding it.

gizmo_dave100

Just continue with the jobs you already progressed in since it will get even bigger later.

LOL. no matter what, they hit HARD. I killed one once. You need lots of medic/ HP support and you need to be able to make a deadly and violent impact. You're going to have to make sure you can hit very hard and take a very hard hit. I'm saying this from a level 4 ravage, medic, or higher stand point. That's when I killed one...The turtles have a Stagger mode, you need to beat them senseless with magic to get them there while healing in between.

I'd switch between

Medic, Medic, Medic.

Commando, Ravage, Ravage

I don't know but I hit 8,000- 15,000 to 20,000 per hit. Those guys are really tough.

Might have something to do with the Titan's quest, I'm not so sure though.

About 5343000hp and and 356200hp for each leg. Theres a cheaper way of taking them out using Vanille's Death spell. Using a summon as well will make the adamantoise fall on it's knees it will be out of action for a good while. Enough for you spam death.
