The Official Game Plan. Read or Die! (Low On Money? Come Here)

ok mods! dont lock this up, this doesnt belong to what game should i get thread. it belongs where it is. its for we the people with not that much bucks.

Okay. So you were low on cash, just enough for one game and still saving. Heres the game plan:

action/adventure: 3

RPG: 3

FPS: 2

Uncharted 2: this ought to be your first buy, you see if you get something else, it wont be all that popular like this game. be part of the uncharted 2 fashion, then move on to your next target.

Demons Souls: okay, look at this, can you go through the frustatingly hard difficulty? it depends, if you say yes, and haven't played it yet, change your mind. When i say its hard, its very, very very hard. So it depends on you.

Borderlands: played Fallout 3? Yep, its gonna be just like that, but with 87 million weapons, humor (lots of it), online features and a sketch effect. Now it depends what type of rpg you want. Demons Souls, the old school, hard, strategic, no nonsense and no humor medieval type rpg or borderlands the funny, light, just right difficulty with post apocalyptic settings. What i mean is get one of borderlands or demons souls, but if you have the money, go for both.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising: i was quite hyped for it, until i got to know you only have 4 on 4 competitive multiplayer. and there are some other missing elements too (check ign's review). but if you still wan to play it, its no more then a rent.

Dragon Age: Origins: its an rpg, we already have borderlands to choose from, and demons souls. rpgs take lots of time. dragon age and demons souls are the same medieval rpgs but dragon age has on oblivionish feeling. depends which one you choose. But remember, if you are planning on getting other games, maybe this wont be your cake (if you are getting u2/mw2/ac2/ofdr/ds/bl/etc.)

Modern Warfare 2: Yeah you are definitely buying this. Dont go wrong, this game ought to be your last fps for 2009.

Assassins Creed 2: yeah i was planning on buying this too, but i ended up thinking: why did i want to buy this? story? i can finish that soon. free roaming/sandboxing? nah you'll end up being bored of that. online? no it doesnt have any online features worth considering. so why buy it? its a rent.

Brutal Legend: No dont go with it. and if you still want it, read some reviews first. look at the graphics. look at the story. i mean heavy metal with the greek gods? you still want it, go for it then

Still torn between Demon's Souls, Borderlands and Modern Warfare 2. (Already bought Uncharted 2)

how can u diss brutal legend the demo was hilarious and the gameplay was average, but script, and story were very engaging and funny...yarou1000

Assassin's Creed 2 is a must buy for me. I loved the first one, and I dont really think the second one can get worse than the first one.funsohng

i like what you're trying to do here... but despite your noble attempt to save people some money, this is doubtfully going to work, as people have different tastes and spending priorities...

I appreciate you attempting to help us on our decision making. I already payed fro UC2, Demon's Souls, and Borderlands. I'm also getting Brutal Legend, MW2, Dragon Age: Origins, and probably Operation flashpoint. I am spending alot of money on games this and next month

sorry but this didnt helped me at all, this is not even a guide for people low on money, everybody has their taste, not everyone would like to play those games. for example, im not getting demons soul, never, ever, neveeer nor borderlands. a guide for someone with small pocket contains tips like where to buy, how to buy, and stuff like that, not a guide telling you "ok get this games first!"lightleggy
