I've read again and again that, due to the open-world nature of the game, you'll need to pause repeatedly during a game and check a map in order to get your bearings. This sounds pretty awful to me - I mean, wouldn't it break up the flow of the game? So I'm just wondering if anyone who's played it can reassure me, because if it weren't for this, I definitely would be buying the game. Do you really have to stop that often? Does it really break up the flow that much?

I've never had to pause the game during a race, but I've done while free driving and looking for a repair shop, or junk yard. The map they give you that is on-screen is fine.

Have you played SKATE.? It is much like that - it takes a little while to learn your way around the city, but when you do learn it you won't need to check the map repeatedly (much like real life).

Nope, I've never played NFS or SKATE - this would be the first open-world racing game I've ever tried.

You don't have to check the map... Infact this is the best flowing game I personally have ever played, everything is seamless and there is only one short load at the begining of the game... Online is availible at the click of a button, awesome game... awesome... It keeps you motivated so well too, you literally get a new car like every 2 races, some of which u have to find and takeout to add to ur garage... buy this game LOL

You get cues of dings and blinking street signs as to recommended turns to reach your destination.

why do you guys ask these questions where in fact you can go online and download the demo and see for yourself what the game has to offer. Download it and see for yourself!!
