And the ability to send and receive messages while playing ANY game. If my buddy's playing Oblivion and I'm playing Calling All Cars, I want to be able to send him a msg to see if he wants to play some online Resistance.

I'd much rather have some stupid looking pic as my background than the generic background. Really stupid... like this:

That would be champion. To be able to listen to music while playing games, and able to pause and switch songs during gameplay, without going back and forth, I would love that.

I "comprehend" what is being said just fine, thank you. I simply take exception to the fact that people who wouldn't do as you would must be "stupid".
