By making an MMO! Thats right an MMO. Their is no other way. What SOE should do is STOP making the Untold Legends Games ( they were ok, it felt like i did it before type game) and make a game like Planet side( without the online fees) and make it a Warhammer 40K third-person shooter game ( like Socom) what do you guys think?

By the way I'M not a Fanboy, I HATE Fanboyisim

Yes cause everyone will stop playing WoW to play some bite sized poor MMO game on the handheld? Face it, there's no way an MMO game could work on a handheld... it's too limited...

Um...i never said people would stop playing WOW for an handheld game WOW is GOOD, Not Great in opinion, why you ask well after a month of playing and killing Giant Spider#324678 you kind of get bored. But back to topic, what i ment was the the PSP has enough power to support an MMO an besides does the DS have an MMO? More importantly can it support an MMO?The aswear isin't that shocking.

I think that you overestimate the appeal of this genre, and overestimate how well it could be done on the PSP.

a mmo on a handheld just wouldnt work.  And the psp is geared more toward older more mature gamers.  I havent seen anyone over 14 with a ds in their hand.

Sony's concern shouldn't be to 'beat' the DS.  Their concern should be to refocus on making the PSP a better product by actually taking the PSP seriously and not resting on the 'PlayStation' brand name to carry it.

yeah I like that "sony should better the product and not (depend) on the sony name"

If sony did just try to make the psp a great gaming system, as well as good in other secondary media, then more consumers will see the lasting appeal of the psp.  The #1 reason i got the psp was for its video.  I can play video on a 4.3 inch screen that most personal video players lack.  But what got me hooked were the games.

Im a casual gamer.  I'll play for 30 minutes, 45 max, then do something else.  The psp is the best thing for that.  I will say that pirates and lumines made we play for over 2 hours many times, but thats why theyre good games.  If youre a casual gamer too then the psp is for you.

The PSP is definitely a system for a casual gamer.  It's too bad Sony can't communicate that to the consumer with their retarded ads and commercials.

Why on earth they would promote garbage like Gangs of London and not one of their better games such as Syphon Filter or Lumines is beyond me.

Or how about selling multimedia software that isn't even near the quality of that of free software.

Even better, commercials that make absolutely no sense at all.  Anybody remember the commercial of the guy chasing some chick to a concert?  What was that trying to sell the customer on?  Buying a 4gb memory card?

I bought the psp for games and love it. I play it just as much as my PS2. I do this it would be kind of cool to put an MMO on it ya i would look into playing it. but how would you play it while in the car? You need some type of wifi to hook up and play. I also thing the DS is crap compaird to the PSP. I'm more of a mature gamer. I would rather play MGS or GTA over some pokemon crap. I mean the DS has some OK titles but the PSP has KICK ASS titles.

The only way PSP can, pfft, it owned DS a long time ago with great games. Get your favorite, play it some, and you'll like it. DS has too much "innovative" crap with weak engines that hardly goes 3D, unless its same old first party s**t. PSP just needs a more user-frienly 3D rpg like Monster Hunter with some online support, thats it.

You haven't seen my mom or my dad yet.  My mom is 42 and plays it all the time in boring meetings at her work, and my dad plays it alot and is getting pokemon for his birthday.  I'm 15, so not that far above 14, but I play mine all the time.  (I have been playing ratchet alot lately though)

Adults tend to find simple, shorter titles better since they only need a brief releif during work and such, when they can't afford to play something lengthy or attention consuming. Nintendo pushes their first party crap too much, it gets horribly old, while other titles aren't much better either. I myself choose my psp over my ds anyday; despite the fact that I had owned the DS longer and have a much higher game count for it, I clocked about 6x more time into my psp.

MMO on PSP? I dunno .... not convinced. I wouldn't be on it, although I'm sure there's a market out there for it. Don't think it'd translate well onto PSP when compared to MMO's already out there , plus WIFI speed would probably be a bottle neck, creating delay's in play, but hell.... PSP is one hell of a suprising system ...who know's how far they can push it's potential. Lucky Number 1 is right. I'm a PSP owner, and I love it. But I've played Mario and Mario Kart on DS. Really good games ... really good. That said, the PSP was the only system for me due to flexibility. And for that reason, the PSP isn't "chasing" the DS IMO. They're different systems with different pro's/con's, and that's only the systems. The both have good selections of games, and both have at least some games aimed at all walks of life. PSP seems to be more "mature" games overall ... but it comes down to preference. I like the way that some PSP games feel more like a "console" game rather than a handheld, there's depth to them ... And the graphics .... multimedia abilities, I just can't understand the position that PSP's are chasing the DS's tail. Only in units sold from what i can tell. So for some people out there (like me) the PSP already had the DS beat from day 1.

That still doesn't explain me.  I have a lot of fun with my DS, I play Hotel Dusk, Metroid, and many many other games that satisfy way more than you think.  Just becuase the DS has alot of thoose games doesn't mean it has crap games

DS has some good games, but overall, way more PSP games appeal to me than those on offer on DS. but it really comes down to personal preference.

i honestly and firmly believe that the ds has alot more.."fun" games.
but the honest fact is, im alot happier with the psp.
its why the ds is now sold, (although it would have been nice to keep it, albeit collect some dust from time to time).
i hardly ever carried the ds with me, but the psp goes everywhere.
the games on the psp arent as captivating, but it does the job (and looks very good while they're at it) and i love being able to watch anime episodes (death note 8)) on the bus ride home, or just listen to music !
