The Orange Box For PS3 Delayed Again Til December...???

It was supposed to come out the same time as the 360 and the PC then it got delayed a month until Nov. 13th now it likes like it will be delayed again until December...

I'm glad I changed my pre-order from PS3 to PC...

I wonder whose to blame for this extra delay (EA)...

Valve could of have it done sooner...

I've heard it's very possible it will be out in 08 so by default it turns into a big holiday X360 exclusive.

That's really terrible, seems like Valve and EA screwed up big, I'm getting it for the PC but I was also thinkning about having for the PS3 just becasue I can lol. Great another load of BS..... why can't people get thier acts together? alt_version

I don't think the main problem lies in EA's development skill. Rather, the fact that their studio is located in the UK. It's very time consuming having to develop the game several thousand miles away before shipping the work off to the USA for assembly. Plus you can definitely count on mistakes popping up.

I was planning on getting it for the 360 anyway.

Just hope that exclusives like Uncharted don't get delayed.

You could be right actually, I remember a few games Gamestop said wasn't going to come out on a certyain month. I bought a game at Sam Goody's that Gamestop said would come out a month later. Sometimes they are flat out wrong.

Also, if you read a few posts up from mine, you'll read that someone heard an announcement from EA in Italy saying they are still trying to hit a November release.

If this is true though, I'm not surprised one bit. I've always expect EA to delay games for PS3 now and hate them for giving PS3 owners the shaft. With them having no knowledge whatsoever about the PS3 and how to make games look and run better than it's competitor, their ports have so far been crap. With these delays, my hopes are that EA is actually trying to make the game look and run better than the 3fixme. Knowing EA though... I'm sure they are just delaying it because they are still having a hard time getting the game to run ok on the PS3.

What's probably going to happen is that EA is going to take a shortcut and port the Xbox1 version and graphics over to PS3 and grap the other compilation into the same frying pan and call it good. Add a bit of choppy and slowframerate (that dips often), PS2 quality textures with shaders, andcompressed sound. This is what I'm expecting EA to do but maybe they can change my mind.

If EA truly ****s this up for us PS3 owners, I'm going to hate them even more and forever will be skeptical about every game they release. My sig says it all.

now tell me if im wrong here but the last time i checked there was only 12 months in a year , hl2 is out on the 23/11/07 in the uk so unless there is some kinda 24 month calendar ye are just reading the date wrong

Gamestop had it changed from Nov.13th to the 23rd of November just recently (within the last week or so, I check Gamestop all the time) then today they changed it once again (There had to be some sort reason for Gamestop to put a new release date for it in order for them to change it, maybe they know something we don't)...

Damn, that sucks... I think I'm just gonna end up getting it on pc, that's where I have hl2 + ep1 anyways, it's cheaper, I'm already used to it, and most importantly I reaaaaally don't trust EA with this.Mochyc

"valve could have done it sooner" are you kidding? valve are one of the worst developer's ever for delaying games.

The thing about valve is they would not delay it unless it was essential, you can be 99% sure HL2:OB will not be a crappy port.

hello!!!!! did anyone even read my post???

the game ISNT delayed again. (isnt being short for IS NOT) ye are reading the date wrong! half life 2 is out in november the date is just the wrong way around. on the uk sites its out on the 23rd of november (the 11th) which is the 23/11/07 there is only 12 months so gamestop have the date the same way as the uk and there is no delay on gamespot again, its a mistake

Thats how I'm starting to lean. My rig will play the HL games beautifully. If the PS3 version rocks I will pick it up too.
