I just got PS3 yesterday and here is the problem i have with PS3... For a next gen HD console, how is it not going to come with HD cables..thats crazy. Also free online everyone talks about but the system doesnt come with a headset so most people dont bother using one....yet.JuanaSmoke
Don't forget you get a bluray disc player. I didn't hear you complain about that. Every one should have a bluetooth headset. If you don't then you have big problems. and the lack of hd cables is not a big deal for 15 bucks you can get a component cable and voila you got hd. for 30 bucks you hdmi cables at walmart. You know what is more frustrating...I had to drop 60 bucks for the hdmi adaptor for the Xbox 360 because i was dumb enough to buy a xbox when it was released.:(
Once more thing did you know you can install linux on you ps 3?
Sony = Good
Microsoft = Evil
afford what? lol..i can afford anything ill buy your whole family kid. Its rediculous now i have to find and pay extra for hdmi and headset. An HD nextgen system should come with HD cables..or else you cannot possibly say PS3s graphics compare to 360s right out of the box for 50 dollars less.JuanaSmoke
Wow, you're impressive. Calling people kid on forums with no knowledge of who they are.
If you were so wealthy you wouldn't be complaining about the price of an HDMI cable. You can find them on ebay for $5. Tests have shown that super expensive cables have no difference in picture quality to super cheap cables.
Heres what you get with the PS3 that you don't get with the other system........built-in Blu-Ray player, built-in wi-fi, free (after paying for the console) online play.......and you can have up to 7 blu-tooth controllers connected to the ps3 at any given time........Now lets look at the other system.....do you get an included HD player of any kind with the their top of the line system as it stands right now? No, before that add-on went belly up, the cost was right around 160.00 USD. For that kind of extra cash, you could buy around 3 or 4 extra headsets. According to the other systems website, only 4 wireless controllers can be connected at one time. Do you get included wi-fi support for online gaming? No, and according to their site, it's gonna cost you another 99.99 USD just so you can have wireless online gaming. Do you get free online game play..........um..........nope. Yet another fee. I got my Blu-Tooth headset for free on buy.com and you can get HDMI cables on ebay for dirt cheap, so whats your complaint? So my point is this, the cost of a cable and a headset are minimal compared to the cost of upgrading the other system. Now I'm not bashing the other guys, but don't make it sound like it's a bad thing that an hdmi cable and headset aren't included. KayoticKiller
Very well put. Then there is another thing you can add that the PS3 has that the other system doesn't and that all PS3's came with a HDD. And these HDD's can be upgraded with any off the shelf SATA 2.5 HDD where the other system uses dedicatde HDD's that cost over twice the price of the standard SATA HDD.

DO your research and don't be so cheap. Be thankful for what you have
The lack of a HDMI cable is abit of a lack luster, can agree with that. But I assume its for the one with no HD tv so they dont have to pay extra for nothing.
The Headset on the other hand is pure bonus hardware on all aspects, I wouldnt want to pay extra for headset cuz I already have one. Thus they didnt include it.

Fact is also. For your money with the PS3 your getting way MORE for what you payed for. Not so much with the 60. And thats paper to paper fact! And when using fact. You can factually say that the 360 is the biggest rip off of all 3. While he PS3 may be the best deal around. Espically with a all new Movie format hitting now. Not sure on Wii coasts. Its not a bad deal. but the best deal for the money by coasts in the PS3 easily!
