The PS3 can die too.

I can't believe that my PS3 died, i was playing Dead Space and downloading Fear 2 demo when my PS3 suddenly shut itself and gave me a yellow light then three beeps and a blinking red light, they told me that the main board is dead and it can't be fixed, i have to buy a new one.I was wondering why this happened? could it be the HDD, because i upgraded to a new Western Digital 250gb HDD andthe PS3died after three hours.

So the 360 got the Red Ring Of Death and the PS3 got the yelow light of death.I was also having issues in the trophies, i got all of Little Big Planet's trophies including the Metal Gear pack and the Platinum one, it appears as 100% in the PS3's XMB but when comparing with the others it is appearing as 78%, Sony said that every game in 2009 will support trohies, it is mandatory, so before mandatory Sony, fix your trophies servers.

I am sorry for the loss of your PS3 but what is the point to this.People already know the PS3 can die,it is a piece of technology and ALL tech can break at one point.K1LLR3175

Anything with an electric current running through it will die. My PC's MB just fritzed.emitsu97

do you have a warranty if so call sony and they fix it for free if not you have to pay $150 to get it repair

Never in my life has a console died. My Genesis is kinda buggy at times, but it works.

My N64 never broke, nor did my GCN or PS3 or Wii. I had a NES like 15 years ago I don't remember what happened though.

Point is : I've been lucky enough so far and my PS3's doing great.

I must be a good console owner ;)

3rd PS3 wow.. Do you have it setting next to a 360?? It might be picking up bd habbits from it :D

the R2 button on my SIXASIS joypad DIED , probably from playing many racing & shooting games with it , lol i have to buy a dualshock instead
