Best console I've owned so far. I have killzone and nba 2k14 with it and having fun with just these 2 games. Can't wait for Infamous nad Driveclub and some of the other games coming like watchdogs.

The dual shock 4 is awesome. It's fast and quiet and the lights are pretty.

It's not bad for a new console, I like it.

2 things...

1. The light is awful, I wish they'd add a patch that disables it

2. Quiet?

so far i like it... but i dont find it "awesome"....

the graphical leap at the beginning of this gen is nothing like it was last gen

the lack of customization of the interface is disappointing

i have to keep my PS3 because PS4 cant do 3D bluray, which is a complete joke

all of the games out right now take <20 hours to beat... and there are literally no games coming out until april.

it is noisy when the disk drive is running... i was expecting it to be near silent

i still dont like the thumbsticks on the DS4 due to them still being convex instead of concave.... although it is a huge improvement over the DS3. the battery life completely sucks though.

i DO NOT like the focus sony has on indie games. it makes me feel like they are either covering for them having not lined up any AAA titles, or they are moving in a direction i am not interested in

there is a bunch of other stuff.... but i dont feel like listing it all.

The PS4 has 2 missing things I want.

1. Not enough games out yet.

2. Theme support.

Both of these can be solved in time.

I don't hear the diskdrive. I do hear the fan. I bought multiple controllers & NYKO chargers that are the best around.

I don't like having to pay for online & having to pay for Sony's Music Unlimited service in order to play music on it.

I guess they have to make more money somehow to compete with MS.

The system is great

The only thing I don't like is not being able to turn off the lightbar, that shit reflects off my TV and is very annoying

The light bar doesn't bother me. It sits so it faces upward on my shelf & I don't see it unless I stand up.

My PS3 is quieter than my PS4.

I like the light bar, its a keeper. My PS4 is super quiet and i love it. Only thing i want is Friend notifications on logging in and also theme support. Oh yeah, why can't i appear offline?? Sometimes i want to play games while no one knows I am online.

Yea I'm loving it to and i actually do find it awesome.

graphical leap was never going to be like it was last time and people need to get over that, we went from Standard tv to HD so the graphics were always going to be leaps and bounds, the tv's we have now for HD wouldn't show much more than they do now, until 4k tvs and games become the norm this is as good as were getting unless you game on pc and we give time to the developers like we did last gen, i mean go back and play games from the start of the ps3 and then play games from this year on the ps3.

The light bar doesn't bother me but i don't sit right close to the tv anyway, and all this my controller doesn't last long, if the controller lasts over an intense 6hour gaming session or more, then whats wrong with that, if your playing 6hours a day then you need to get yourself outside for awhile.

the one thing i don't like and have made a bit more complicated is the way you have to create a profile for another controller if you just want a game with a friend, why can't we just turn the other controller on and just play.

the one thing i'm not liking is how the games are all right there in one row with everything else and yet we get a tab for library, i'd like maybe a third row for my media and connection part and a row just for games would be nice or even just remove the games and just have 4games you've played recently and the library i'd also like the option to organise the row if anything, it's annoying that there all jumbled up with the other stuff.

Well I'm glad to hear that but I can't play my PS4 until Christmas. Playing Xbone right now and not too excited. Forza 5 is pretty boring. That Driveclub will be insane.

I do find it awesome. Best console launch I've experienced, in fact.

the graphical leap at the beginning of this gen is nothing like it was last gen The graphical leap is easily comparable to the Xbox -> Xbox 360. Could even be a greater graphical leap this generation, depending on what launch titles you compare. 1080P standard is a massive graphical improvement, more so than 480P to 720P.

the lack of customization of the interface is disappointing Fair enough, though personally I don't care about this sort of thing. It's a redundant feature.

Yeah I'm loving my PS4... Finished Killzone (which was good, but not great), and am currently playing AC4 & Knack (love both!!).

Next year is going to be epic!

Yeah it's alright. Needs some more games though before I'd recommend it to anyone else. It's what you'd expect for a launch console. It's way better than PS3's launch, but that wasn't hard to beat.

yeaaaaaaaah... no it isnt. original gears of war compared to a PS2 game? not even a comparison this gen. there isnt a single game on either console that shows the leap we saw last gen. Killzone SF is good looking, but it does not offer the jump we saw last gen... not even close. even if we compare the same series... it isnt even a close comparison. PS2 Killzone 1 compared to PS3 Killzone 2.... and then PS3 Killzone 3 compared to PS4 Killzone 4. the difference between Killzone 1 and Killzone 2 was staggering. the difference between Killzone 3 and Killzone 4, not that staggering.

not a redundant feature.... infact it is probably the single most requested feature....

3D is not a joke. 3D movies are actually gaining market share... not losing. also, 3D is considered a standard feature on TVs now... which is why it is not marketed as heavily. Also, TV makers would rather push 4K right now, so 3D is going to take a back seat.

HURRR DURRRR... ALL GAMES ARE SHORT IF YOU RUSH THROUGH THEM.... what the **** kind of response is that? some of us dont like to replay games several times. most of the time i go for 100% completion on my first time through. after that, why would i WANT to play a game again?

the stick is convex. it simply has a ridge around the convex "bubble" in the center. something being concave does not just mean it is recessed. it has to be a spherical recession to be concave, which it is not.

pretty easy to see the difference.

Sony is doing nothing but push indies on the PS4. they are even starting to offer indies for PS+ games with Dont Starve next month. sure you can say it is because the system lacks games.... but that isnt really the point. the point is they are spending a lot of marketing dollars to shove indie in peoples faces with PS4. it is concerning for people like myself that are really just not interested in indie games.

one of my posts must have gotten deleted... oh well... i certainly have 1K now.

Jjust got my PS4 this weekend. I was disappointed when seeing the OS in videos or pictures, but now that I've used it, I find the general user bar when pushing up with the parameters, friends that I thought was fused with the long line of recent activities (this one just sucks and isn't useful, hpe they change it when they put back the image/music/video features, or hope we can get some choices for customization).

The DS4 is fine, I got used to it fast, I wonder though for the touchpad if you slide your finger on it you may push it and access another menu by mistake. Vidzone is quite cool (I even found some metal songs!). I tried the "Share" button but it needs time to get what you want exactly to share, images or scenes.

AC4 doesn't seem that much next gen to me for the hour I've played it.

I've got both. Honestly, they're about comparable. PS4's UI is slicker, but weirdly organized (not looking forward to it when I have lots of games). XB1 is more functional, but lacks the cool factor. They're both pretty quiet, but I do notice the PS4's Blu-Ray drive when it's seeking (seems to be more on games than movies). Controllers are fine, I prefer the XB1 (fits my hands better and is designed to switch between bumper and trigger with just the index finger vs trying to keep two fingers wrapped around the front of the controller which I could never do).

Graphics? For all the hype what I've seen is comparable.

Still, they're both nice upgrades from last gen. Looking forward to 2014.

Gears of War isn't a launch title, or even close to being one. You lost my attention at the first sentence again. If you don't even know some of the most basic knowledge about gaming (or care to look it up before you even post), we shouldn't be arguing.

Time for a reminder of what 360 launch titles looked like....

Gun image

If I didn't know any better, I thought I was looking at PS2/Xbox games. As I was saying...360 wasn't a big improvement over PS2/Xbox at launch. This generation's graphical jump completely blows it away. Just look at the cross-generation titles this time around. BF4 on Xbox/PS3 isn't in the same realm graphically as BF4 on PS4. Whereas Gun on the Xbox/PS2 looked rather similar to Gun on the 360. Same thing for AC4 - AC4 on PS3/360 is practically incomparable to AC4 on the PS4 graphically. It's so graphically nerfed, it barely even looks the same.

You can, takes like 2 seconds to setup a dummy account, you don't HAVE to fill out all the profile fields for a 2nd profile if you dont want to.

Doesn't bother me either but it does consume battery power that could be better spent, that said I'm fine with the battery life, lasts on average around 8 hours for both my controllers which is more than enough.

All launch titles.... all graphics not even remotely possible on PS2/XBOX....

it is so easy to make you look like an idiot KH i dont know why you even try....

None of those screenshots are gaint leaps. Espically without Hd. Only thing that really greatly improves are the physics , lighting( which is not exactly graphics) animation possibilities and content to load time ratio lol. And whoever thinks a console is gonna come with alot of games within the 1st few month's is obviously an inexperienced gamer.

@Geminon: the ps4 is way quiter than ps3 although I had the system ps3 before the slim and it sound like a jet. The ps4 is only loud with a old dvd I play but every other disc is quite as a mouse.

I do want mp3 and other thongs the system needs. It's good to hear there will be more facial recognition added for the camera. The system will be even more awesome next yr and competing with xbox one with the camera.

I think based on reviews that ps4 had better games. I played knack demo and wasn't impressed but I have nba 2k, assassins creed and madden and inpressed with all except madden. Although madden plays well the graphics suck.

I truly believe ps4 will have the best games and be the best system and if 20 more voice activations are added to camera then that is all it needs. I don't care about all the voice recognitions xbox one can do.

Yeah, PS4 is awesome. I have Xbox One too, and the PS4 OS is definitely faster and more stable.
