I hate it when people tell Europe not to complain, would you complain if: You got it 3 months later It cost $200 more It wasn't nearly-100% BC like the other versions Or would you just go "Eh, I'm European, I should be used to this"?

Agreed being an European myself. Sure, nearly everything that was in US that is now in UK costs more but when i have to wait 3 months longer than you and have to pay more, i would expect to get a small token of gratitude but no we get even less than planned. This still aint gonna stop me getting one on launch no way.

Thats not the point. We are human beings to. Just because we were left out in the cold for a while last gen, doesn't mean that we should have to expect it this time around. Ill admit, i didn't get the PS2 till after a while after launch but I'm more into games than i used to be.

yes i do think the europe should get better reconized but i think they did this gen. first party games are cheaper than the u.s. 40 dollars. cheaper than the 360 titles. maybe no chip but i bet the elimulation is going to be good hopfuly they start using the scaling chip that is supose to be in there. you guys will have no drount in the games because they will start to have steady games out from here on. ect.

1. got it 3 months later?.....not really considering the launch titles we had and the launch titles that Europe will have. 2. cost $200 more?....not really since the average salary in Europe is higher than the US, most merchandise is higher in Europe than in the US, and the standard of living is higher in Europe than in the US. what is the minimum wage in the UK? 3. so tell me what % of BC the PAL PS3s will be?

I would trade Europes Launch line up for how many ever months of waiting it will be...Their line up is far better than the US or Japanese line up...

And price is relative dont give price as an excuse...

Yeah, and women should never have complained about not being able to vote and black people should never have complained about racial discrimination. Come off it...complaining loud enough can get things changed for the better. Europeans have every right in the world to complain about second rate treatment. How can any reasonable person say that complaining is wrong in this situation?

Wow...I feel so bad now for complaining about the price. All of these "really valid points" have made me realise, im sooooo lucky to only pay $200 more. And that comment about the standard of living and rate of pay etc is total crap. Maybe when the PS3 is launched in Estonia it should cost £50, because hey, they only earn £1 an hour. But in all seriousness...so what if the games are £10 cheaper. That means we gotta buy 10 before we've got our money back on the diffrence in the price of the system? Im sorry...but i'm from one of the greatest countries in the world and I dont think its right to say we should be greatful just because we got it 3 months later? We should get it at the same time. Wow...ive turned a simple reply into a huge rant. Oh well. Ill still be buying it at that ludicrusly over the top price....itds only because ive got more money than sense...since we get paid double that you americans do...hmmm...

Why complain to Sony? Blame the countries of Europe for the high PS3 price. It is their taxes that raised the price. Blame the countries for having better economies and better wages and better cost of living than the US. That is why the price is different. and why complain about BC? do you know which games are not going to work? no. so what is there to complain about? about the delay? ok, that is a valid point. but that is about to be over, so there's no need to complain about it now. As in your examples, that's like women or African-Americans complaining now that they didn't get to vote 50 years ago. There's no need to complain.

do you know the tax that the government puts on imported goods? why not complain to the government about the insane taxes? it's one reason that the PS3 is at a higher price

1. got it 3 months later?.....not really considering the launch titles we had and the launch titles that Europe will have. 2. cost $200 more?....not really since the average salary in Europe is higher than the US, most merchandise is higher in Europe than in the US, and the standard of living is higher in Europe than in the US. what is the minimum wage in the UK? 3. so tell me what % of BC the PAL PS3s will be?

don't forget first party games are 40 dollars not 60

so I just went and looked up the minimum wage of the UK. It is 5.35 pounds. Today's currency conversion would make that $10.50 in the US. $10.50 AN HOUR!!!! Our minimum wage is $5.15. The UK's minimum wage has increased 27% since 2002. Our minimum wage has not changed since 1997.... So basically, our minimum wage is half of what the UK's is. hmm can't be basing that on minimum wages..... all in $ for ya median wage in US = $32,000 median wage in UK = $45,000 median house cost in US = $210,000 median house cost in UK = $450,000 median petrol cost (ltr) in US = $0.63 median petrol cost (ltr) in UK = $1.68 see the trend here, you get everything cheaper, always :)

oh and im not moaning about Sony on the price of the PS3, in some resent post's i have shown that nearlly $140 of the UK price is due to TAX

that's basically what I meant. Everything is more expensive in Europe. I guess the people who are complaining are the ones who still live with mommy and daddy and don't have to pay for anything. therefore, they don't know how much stuff really costs compared to the US.

[QUOTE="chembro84"]I hate it when people tell Europe not to complain, would you complain if: You got it 3 months later It cost $200 more It wasn't nearly-100% BC like the other versions Or would you just go "Eh, I'm European, I should be used to this"?

It is late and it is not as compatible, but it is not more expensive.

Prices are determined by the cost of life and the average salary. The value of the US dollar has absolutly nothing to do in the price of the PS3 in Europe.
