Yeah it is, I just checked
I played the demo on my 360 last week. The game is crap. They refuse to change with the times, so you still can't shoot while you move and if you play split screen co-op they only give you small squares on your screen rather than just splitting the screen in the middle.msharkiWOW BS! That is lame.

That is lame. thats why if i ever played co-op it would be online so id have the whole tv to myself, and i hate the fact i have to babysit a b1tch, and worry about her, me and the zombies and bosses that will attack me. i thought she wouldnt be a burden but damn

Yeah, agreed. It changes the feel of the whole game to have to babysit the whole time... I'm hoping it's just on a couple of levels that we have to deal with her in the single player campaign.
so does anyone have anything positive to say about the game cuz thats what i wanna hear about until i try it out (if i do)..sometimes demos kill the hype for me.... p.s. im sick of hearing complaints about controls...that is the game STYLE, it has been like that since RE1, and if you dont like it, then why play the game?WutTimeIsIt
the whole demo is great, but not beaing able to move while shooting in an action game???boooo-urn. if they had stuck with the original forumla then it might work. but since they went more action oriented, these controls are game breaking to me. if they fix or patch it then i could enjoy this game. but as it stands...phail on all fronts.
The demo represents well what to expect from the full version.
I did liked it, it controls and plays extremely similar to RE4 which is not a bad thing.
Did it need "shoot while moving" option? Who knows. It would be sad to miss this game if you can't adjust a little to the controls but that's up to each individual. ;)
I dled it and played it a few times and all i can say is it's exactly what I've been expecting for awhile- a meh Re4 in hd with coop. The controls suck as does the game design. You can't melee unless prompted, you have to hold a button to run, can strafe and shoot or walk and shoot at the same time. The game on a whole just feels last gen and tired. I mean sure it looks great and the tension is good but once I saw the same terrible enemy animations as RE4 I knew Capcom really didnt create a great game. The demo on a whole reminded me of another demo from Capcom. It reminded me of the DMC4 demo that convinced me that the game was nothing but an hd update of the same old thing. Now I know RE4 and DMC3 were great games but its a new gen and its time for new controls and gameplay.
Honestly, Dead Space is a much better horror game in terms of controls, atmosphere, gameplay, and graphics. Army of Two is a much better coop game. Dark Sector, essentially a mix between RE4 clone and Gears clone, is a whole helluva lot better game than RE5 demo.
I hope my feelings change after I play it with my bro when he gets back for work, or he, a huge RE4 fan, loves it or the chances are that we are going to change preorder to a Capcom game that actually looks like it is worth the hype and is fun (SF4). I have a feeling that RE5 might just turn out to be another overrated game that I pass over this gen like I did with GTA4.

yea im hopin that too. i mean imagine u had to run away and shoot at 20 to 30 zombies(even though they not) and shes got stuck in the middle of 10 of them and i need to help her and give her all the damn herbs to heal her, wat would i be left with for myself? and im sorry i have to add another thing, the game is no where near scary or anythin, capcom really screwed themselves over with resident evil series, yea 4 was awesome but it wasnt scary at all, i almost pooped my pants when i played resident evil 1 through 3, zero was good too, but playin 4 and 5 made me realize at least for me that resident evil is dyin slowly, some of u might disagree but thats just me i guessit wasn't the best playing alone, but i got my cousin to download it and once we started co-op online the experience was sooo much better, and if ur gonna do that you need a mic seriously we wouldn't have killed mr chainsaw without the voicechat function. Its gonna be a great game, if you played resident evil 4 you know that 5 will have so crazy set pieces.lionelb22thats why im going to play resident evil 5 with a friend whose going to get it, i mean ill give it ago playin it alone single player, but damn i hoenstly hate a game where i have to babysit another player who supposedly is a expert in weapons and kicks and punches, i mean if sheva is another fighter why in hell do i need to help her with every lil thing. i played the demo and every 5min, shes yallin help and i have to stop wat im doing and go save her sorry butt. again im going to hate the babysittin thing but like u said its alot more fun playin the full game with someone co-op online that would be much more fun specially with mics other than that its going to be a very long gameplay for me if im going to try to help my partner every time i take my eyes of her, it will feel that im protectin her through out the game then actually going and doing wat i have to do to begin with
well i played the demo a second time with a friend...he sucked and we lost miserably every time cause he'd die. got annoyed and decided to try and play with someone else. found another friend whos a little below my skill level. beat both levels a few times. had some time to adjust to the controls...it grows on you. but it's seems like running from 1 side to the next do 180 shoot enemy in head, kick, stomp. wash, rinse, repeat. it will get a bit repetitive. being a game based on the co-op, we better be able to get all trophies in online co-op, otherwise i may need a few extra controllers. sheva's a tard. anyways once you get used to it the controls aren't bad. it just really fells like you should be able to move. action oriented feel but with a slow pace. could hurt this games ratings...but since my last few plays i can say i'll definatly be picking this one up. ugh, street fighter, killzone 2 and this. those 3 alone will hold me over till the holiday games. hopefully there's nothing else squezed in there. The demo represents well what to expect from the full version.

QTF! You're the best! :D
my choices are to have someone come round my house to play the game which is not always a possibility with work and countless other things that go on, i can play online with some random person which means i cant play through and enjoy the game at my own pace or the person i end up paying with is some kind of mentally deranged 12yr old ADHD sufferer who wastes ammo and herbs etc and basically makes the experience a chore rather than a pleasurable experience. my last option is playing with retarded AI which is never fun. this is not a game i will enjoy and its a shame as resident evil is one of my favorite gaming series'.AGMing
Ummmm how about PLAY WITH A FRIEND?! You say you have to play by yourself with A.I or play online with some random person or invite a buddy over. GET A FRIEND TO PLAY ONLINE WITH YOU!!! Do you not have any real friends?

iv got 3 friends who own a PS3 and even then you have to arrange to play the game therefore i cannot play the game at my own leisure. that combined with the fact that i usually play games between 10pm-3am it makes playing with other friends online bit of an issue Mr caps. thanks for your opinion but you probably fall into the mentally deranged category that id rather not associate with online or in any other form.even got it here at the middle east store
The demo kinda sux
I hate that there is no run-and-gunning just , stand-in-one-place-while-zombies-feed-on-your-brain-gunning
and the online co-op doesn't work
I thought that this demo rocked me quite a bit, and I'm glad that I have a new contender that's worth my money along with Killzone 2, it's a pleasent surprise.
Waiting for Killzone 2 demo to decide what to buy....

I hear a lot of people complain about the controls. The way Resident Evil sets up its controls is important to the challenge of the game itself. If you could move while shooting, the game wouldn't be any where near as challenging as it is. They may have taken an action attitude towards the game, but it's still a survival horror, and they keep the controls the way they are for a reason. This isn't Devil May Cry.
But I do understand that maybe being able to move slowly while aiming would help. A good gamer adjusts to the challenge the controls give us, not complain about it, though.
The split screen isn't as good as it could be, but it was still awesomely fun and hectic! I'm excited for this game, through and through.
phail on all fronts, eh? seeing as RE4 turned out to be the game of the year on the gamecube and was extremely popular on the ps2 and is still one of the most popular 3rd person shooters today, i really don't think it 'phailed.' seems to me that people didn't really mind the controls. i personally thought they worked perfectly.the whole demo is great, but not beaing able to move while shooting in an action game???boooo-urn. if they had stuck with the original forumla then it might work. but since they went more action oriented, these controls are game breaking to me. if they fix or patch it then i could enjoy this game. but as it stands...phail on all fronts.
